You can't change boxing history. I was watching. Joe was irrelevant while Hop and Roy were in their prime. It wasn't Joe's fault. Who keeps bumping this thread? Joe caught them when they were washed up. Joe was starting to blow up but hurt himself on a Mike Tyson undercard and disappeared off of everyone's radar for a lil bit. He just wasn't relevant then. after 16 SMW title wins for both Calzaghe and Eubank, both had racked up some very good impressive wins.
Eubank had wins over Watson, Malinga, Rocchigiani, Holmes, Wharton, Jarvis, Essett, Ferreyra
Calzaghe had wins over Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell, Brewer, Veit, Sheika, Mktchyan, Starie

To name a few

 

Me personally, counting the Lacy and Kessler wins are big for Calzaghe at SMW. I am not sure his SMW resume is superior to Eubank's without them.

 

Obviously beating Eubank there is a good thing for Joe.

I can guess that it is difficult for posters to meet up unless it is at an event, though I would be very nervous about being somewhere where that oddball Herol is, the way he stalks me around ESB.

Without trying to sound insulting but were you aware of some of the wins like the Starie win or even about Starie?

 

At the time of the fight? No.. I have had to review most of Calzaghe's career sadly. I would have liked to have been aware earlier. Admittedly I am not what you would call educated on Starie's career. I might be wrong though but was he not the only fighter to beat Woods at the time of the Jones fight?
