Duva has problem, because Klitschko has to OKed the July opponent as well. Golota was OKed, but no othe bum like Skelton or Harrison. Danny Williams, Dimitrenko and Platov, there was no talk about it. There are only 2 deals: Golota or no fight. Duva wants Shannon Briggs, but no one want to buy it! The only one on US TV is Golota.

Sounds like Peter may get a Pole up his ass, afterall!

I think Golota was OKed by the WBC cause he's on a winning streak, and still has name recognition and clout in the division. He may not fully deserve a titleshot, but his name and drawing power makes up for whatever he lacks in big name wins.

I hope they fight Golota, but I think the'll opt to not fight, at all, and wait on Vitali, rather than risk fighting a tough and focused Andrew Golota. BUt I hope I am wrong. I'd love to see Golota Peter.....

I'd even love to see Briggs Peter. That would also do. :good

But I think we'll see Peter wait til Oct.

They need to set a deadline to end this BS. Either Duva wants to let Peter fight Golota or not.

This sitting around **** is going to kill whats left of Golota's career.

Wow! Alot of action here today. I took the day off from work, so I couldn't be on the GOLOTAEXPRESS all day!

Joecools last message tells all. If Peter wants to fight a nobody, go do it in some alley somewhere. If they want to make some $$$ where TV will pay, then fight Golota. He's the only one that will draw some excitement against this horrible to watch Sam Peter.

    Good for Andrezj!!!:happy

    (((((((GO GOLOTA))))))))

    Remember...this is PERSONAL!:!:

I think they are going to skip july. The big pole is just too much risk.

Yes, this is Andrew Golota we're talking about. Saying that he's not going to get blown out early is ridiculous.

WBC by their own law sanctions automaticly every fight if boxer is from their WBC TOP15 (used to be top10). Golota is #8 at the moment, but may go higher in the upcomming rankings. Peter wants to fight, because he wants to make money. For Golota's fight he will ask a lot, because he has under contract with Duva big money. Duva wants no risk and take profit from Vitali's fight. If Peter KO Vitali, there will be revenge of the brother 121 and big profit from unification. Duva knows Golota is a big risk and after McCline fight he doesn't want other risk before big profit. Duva didn't make money on Peter yet. Briggs was an option, but he can punch and Duva said no on 1st try. They he said OK, but no one wants to buy it. Peter is not making money in the USA, that's why Peter-Maskaev was in Mexico. Then they tried to put him in the UK or Germany, but there is no money for that too, as long he doens't fight Klitchko or any other local guy. They only choice is Golota, but it's big risk. Duva might take time-off and pay out of his pockets to Peter to stay and wait for Vitali. Vitali-Peter will be in Germany.

It sounds as if chances for the Peter Golota fight are sinking...... The fight is supposed to be in mid July, and here we are getting close to late May.

Maybe Golota can now still get a Meehan fight, and possibly go on to fight the Valuev Chag winner (Valuev).
