I'll start first Hitting the heavybag with unlocked wrists Hitting the speedback with thumbs open Taking breaks, looking around before the 30 second bell has even sounded Kicking the double end bag (in a strictly boxing gym) Immitating tyson (nothing worse than a skinny 6'3 punk spastically moving from side to side with his arms so high his elbows reach his eyebrows) Wannabee trainers who know nothing shouting "kick his ass" to their equally clueless budy who is sparring Dumb ass thugs, football players walking in and challenging anyone to "fight" them. Then quiting after 30 seconds after sparring with a decent boxer who was taking it easy on them, walking out, and never coming back to the gym.
Here's some more People who think sparring is a real fight Not using handwraps People who let themselves get hit intentionally to prove a macho point Guys who need to lose weight drinking tons of gatorade
Guys who have no training what so ever and do those tough-man club boxing shows. They always come in, no hand wraps, no form and stand squared up in front of the heavy bag and throw about 100 right hands (from either the waist or chest) as hard as they can with their chin way up in the air. Then, inevitably, they strut out with their chests all puffed up like they are hot ****.
I don't use handwraps. I did when I first started, but I don't now, and I haven't had an injury in a long time.......well with the exception of my left pinky being cut up from inside the glove after round after round of left uppercuts.
****ing classic right there. Sup with that avatar, you and Kolya need to use more sunscreen. :scaredas:
It's D_knowsbosing and his wife apparently. Got it from the picture thread. Check out his avatar sometime. :yep The best thing about the dipshits at the gym is that after they flail on the bag for two minutes (which is as long as they can because they are out of shape). They strut around and then stand in the doorway where we're working out and look down their noses at us because we're 'amateurs'. They don't even try to not be obvious either. Morons.
missing the doule end bag consistently throwin right as hard as they can at the speed ball shadowbox with chin in air an runnin round crossin ther feet tryin 2 look like ali gotta say this is a good thread
There's a rumour going round about a guy at my gym who, when first told to double hook, he swang out both his hands at the same time - basically sandwiching the heavy bag
Quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen. Watch him try n leave the ring http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjDfaTJRpSY
We had the crazy ex-kickboxer guy. I swear he took way too many kicks to the head. He would: 1. Walk up to the mirrow all angry and **** scream HEYAAA!!! and stmp the ground then walk away all moody. he wowuld do that for a few rounds. 2. Then he would pull these ******ed boxing/kick boxing moves. He once fell down shaddow boxing. 3. Knocked him self out twice with the heavy bag when he looked away dstracted. 4. Bounced off the side of the ring like WWE wreslters do, ripping the posts out that were bolted to the floor, which in turn folded in on him smacking into his legs. 5. Dropped one of the weight machines on his ankle when we were moving locations, putting him out for weeks. 6. Scream at little kids to "pump it!!!" when they were on the heavy bag, most ended up laughing but it disturbed most of us. Oh man i could go on, we used to call him "Danger", like the guy from million dollar baby
:rofl Awesome. We had a little wigger douche that used to run and the heavy bag jump and head butt the damn thing. Kolya made him do 25 push ups every time he did it until he cried to his mom and she called the coach at home complaining.
so so true they think cause they can fight in the streets that they good at boxing, they breakdown mentally before the bell even rings
Wow I guess there are big dumb over confident assholes everywhere. There is an ex-marine who goes to my gym who fits this description perfectly. I had sparred maybe twice, and one day my trainer had me spar him. the trainer told us to take it easy the first round and focus on jabbing. This guy comes out guns blazing and starts tagging me with 1-2's, but I wasn't yet polished enough to avoid them well. All I could do was try and punch back and once I started hitting him back he "pulled a muscle" and quit. He has since learned to calm down though.
