danny vaughn should really hang his head in shame after last night, he should have done the decent thing and tried to save charlie edwards and let him fight another day. it was obvious that cashmere was starting to hurt him and you could even see eddie hearn saying something to the corner in between the round before he got stopped but danny threw him back out and even after he was clearly hurt again still didn't throw in the towel? maybe he should spend time with dominic ingle and learn that no filter wants to be pulled but its your job as his coach to make sure that your charge doesn't take unnecessary punishment and actually save them from their braveness
Danny done a very good for Charlie last night, reinforcing what there plan was and keeping him focused Charlie had the balls to go in with a very good champion and will become a better and stronger fighter for it. It's to easy blaming individuals, you win has a team and lose has a team and come back stronger has a team
But how can Danny get any blame? Eddie Hearn isn't a fighter or a coach he's a promoter, he sells shows my telling you what you want to hear, he doesn't spend time with Danny or Charlie in the gym day after day, so Eddie screaming is irrelevant
I blame the ref over anyone else I was there and he was literally holding up Edwards and the amount of time he took was a farce. It's pretty simple if a fighter is in no fit state to continue ie he has no control of his legs etc etc wave it off but don't go holding him up. Another example of a British fighter getting a helping hand but in reality could have been brutally knocked out. This content is protected
that makes things worse for danny vaughn when as you say eddie doesn't spend the time with edwards in the gym or is a coach but even he could see that edwards was unravelling and was getting ko'd. then again this comes from the man that thought letting ricky burns fight on with a busted jaw was a great move when in reality he has never looked the same fighter since
referee could have jumped in earlier but like i said it is the duty of the coach to ensure that his charge doesn't take needless punishment, you can't rely on the referee
I know Ricky better than most and no way would he have wanted me to stop the fight and hes told me since thats the case.
why is it worse Eddie is only promoting the lad , hes not obliged to go to his gym and check him train. What point are you trying to make or are you just unsure of the procedures?
what can't you understand? if a promoter can see that the boxer is being beat up with no chance of winning a fight and on his way to ko defeat then why couldn't his coach danny vaughn see what eddie could? are you honestly saying that you thought danny was right to leave edwards to get systematically beaten up and stopped without a thought about his future career? thank god for coaches like dominic ingle and not just billy nelson and danny vaughn all over the place
and at the same time as telling you that he thinks you were right also decided it was time to move on to pastures new
Well that was a decision Ricky made, however he did ask to be coached up here again last December by me just before Campbell and Mitchell lost, so he must rate me unlike you lol I think we done well together and I wish him only good luck
