Errol Spence Jr calls out Kell Brook

Started to dominate? He won 1 round before being stopped. And he isn't the P4P number 1 either.

 

Idiotic to say brook is ducking spence. Its just like everything in money, it revolves around money. Spence is a risky fight for little money and kell is at a stage in his career where he wants big paydays and big fights. Can't see this fight happening , kell will go to 154

 

The thing is we don't even know how much money is on the table. With a mandatory defence Brook would get the lionshare so would be well rewarded for that.

Prior to this Haymon has not put any offer to Matchroom to make the fight. If Brook could get to 147 and feel good doing so I could see the fight happening however I don't think he will. Why kill yourself to make 147 when you can fight at 154lbs. Brook's stock hasn't gone down after the GGG fight and I think HBO/Showtime would love to get him in the ring at 154lbs over in the States.

 

It's not only a case of brook gtting down to 147 to fight, he's at a point now where hes said countless times, even after the GGG fight he only wants HUGE fights.. ones that get the world talking. Spence is not known in the UK at all.. it wouldn't sell well at all and would be very little media coverage. Atleast over here, I have no idea how big spence is in the US but cant see it being put on in the US.. the split is 75 25 to kell but as i said it just isn't a big enough fight. I'm pretty sure kell would come back to 147 for garcia, thurman or khan if they are offered to him. Just can't see spence getting him excited.

There wouldn't be alot of money involve in the fight unless haymon bids something crazy at the purse bids, hearn may POSSIBLY try put it on ppv in the UK but highly doubt it because it wouldn't sell well at all. Can honestly see kell v canelo or smith next

Its also worth mentioning that IF kell can get garcia or thurman in the ring at 147 the ibf would allow a unification bout which means they'd have an agreement that the winner of that would have to fight spence. I'd love to see brook v thurman. Finally to see who the best welterweight is

 

Brook could have boxed Spence in July/August, but Spence's team kept telling Hearn they didn't want it.
Spence is with Mayweather who has claimed that everybody is avoiding Brook.
Spence is promoted by Haymon who also promotes Garcia, Thurman and Peterson. Haymon isn't short of a few bob but has never made Brook an offer.

 

Dont believe what hearn is telling you, im sure if theyd of made a crazy offer brook would of taken it but any other reason why would brook take that fight then? When he can take it at 75 25 as a mandatory... it would make no business sense unless they offered him 75 25 which they wouldnt

 

Because 75 - 25 split going to purse bids doesn't guarantee he would earn more than an offer made outside the mandatory.

 

The funny thing is about your post is that kell has been calling Khan out a good 5 years when Khan was defending his belt across America and saying brook fight at that time don't generate enough money coz brook is a risky fight for no little cash. At that time it was being called a duck but when brook does coz he has got bigger fish to fry

Wasn't the problem khan kept moving the goal posts, Khan said beat Matthew Hatton which he did, then beat senchenko which he did. Finally win a world title which Kell did. Once that was done khan said fight a big name.

It was just getting ridiculous!

 

Its different its been a huge fight over here for years. As somebody said above khan kept making up different reasons why it cant happen & nobody really moaned when khan got canelo or was after mayweather etc.. it was more his talk of fighting the big names then he fights algieri.. kell v spence isnt a big fight anywhere in the world except to perhaps bug boxing fans. As i said nobody in the uk other that real boxing fans will know who spence is. Its just not a fight i see appealing to him at all

 

Like i said unless haymon made a crazy offer there'd be no point in kell considering a fight when a few months later he can get 75 25.. but anyways can't see this fight happening. Brook will probably go to 154

 

I can see kell vs Cotto or Alvarez in 2017 or sure.

After Peter Nelson from HBO witnessed the O2 atmosphere live for the GGG fight I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to push for Canelo vs Brook in London.

Plus them PPV numbers should definitely interest Oscar and Canelo.

 

Look brook has fought 2 live oppents in Porter who he got a split decision and got his face broken by ggg I don't personally see how Erroll spence is not a big fight for him

 

Hearn said that Nelson approached him straight after the fight mentioning Canelo-Brook.
