but he did look vulnerable at times

yes brook is a welterweight maybe a light middlweight at best

but a guy like that was not suppose to give ggg problems

    what do you guys think?

By definition, yes. But people here on the forums think you can't be exposed if you win. Even though he KO'd Brook, Brook was able to expose a few weaknesses in Golovkin's game. While he wasn't exposed as a "fraud", he looked very average.

He made GGG look bad by outboxing him at times and make him miss badly. I already knew before this fight why GGG and his fans wanted no parts of Ward at 168. I think DeGale would beat him at 168 as well and Canelo would give him hell at 160 to. GGG is a sucker for the uppercut and can be countered rather easily. He's skilled don't get me wrong but IMO his power and mental toughness are his biggest strengths.

I am torn on this because GGG did not respect the power going into the fight and clearly had no fear after eating some early shots. I will say the uppercuts concerned me than GGG early on in the fight as I was like WTF:confundio1:

I did feel like KO or no KO he looked rusty and at times rushing to end the fight but again it was a blown up 147 guy.

I think we need to see GGG again soon to really answer that question. There are too many variables inside this equation because the water was muddy by too many different elements IMO

PBF wasn't exposed against Maidana he was 37 and past his prime and still won. He also didn't let JMM who was better P4P than Brook was when he fought GGG who came up from 2 weight classes like Brook win any second of any round against him. He showed you how to dominate an elite fighter and not take any damage or lose a round. So you were saying?:wave1: Lastly, GGG knows nothing about moving up in weight and for your very first fight at that new weight fighting a guy whose the man at that weight and the champ all the while being outweighed by almost 20 pounds on fight night with a bad shoulder. That's what daring to be great is all about. GGG could learn a thing or twenty from PBF about that.:deal:

GGG is not a superhuman, he has some flaws, but, it was obvious that Brook had not any chance to win.
Everyone who claims the opposite is biased, or doesn't know anything about boxing.

Everything that happenned in that fight is because GGG wanted it to happen.

Not safe to say without any contextually relevant qualifiers.

Did he expose that Golovkin isn't automatically going to easily juggernaut through anyone short of big strong talented natural super middles or light heavies in one-sided fashion, unscathed and without breaking a sweat or taking any reciprocal damage? Yes, that myth was pretty thoroughly dispelled by the fourth if not third round against Brook.

If you mean that in the general sense, though, as in "Brook proved that Golovkin was a fraud this whole time and not world class" (which honestly was always going to be the expected response from the haters if Brook had done even remotely well) then no, that's dumb.

GGG let him hit him like a father would play with his son and let him have free shots does that mean the boy exposed the father?

His power is nullified @ 168 and slick fighters are his Kryptonite. This is why the Ward and Lara fights have not happened..

So when Kell Brook made GGG miss and then countered, this was all done becuase GGG let it happen?

So what you are saying is that GGG missed shots on purpose and willingly stood there to be countered?

when you read that do you not realise how ridiculous that sounds! I have watched the fight back multiple times and this idea that GGG just allowed kell to take free shot is not true.

I didnt like how GGG was getting hit behind the guard. He ate BIG shots, big uppercuts, like the uppercut that lifted him up in the air. It appeared as his defense just completely fell apart when Brook would go on the defensive. Golovkin is starting to slow down as well, his reflexes and timing will slowly get worse. Brook definitely exposed GGG's vulnerability to the uppercut. GGG a devastating opponent for anyone who gets in the ring with him.
