This is a huge casual fan fight, and being a casual fan I love this fight. What are your predictions on this fight?

Gall is better on the ground. Northcutt is better standing.

Gall is natural at 170lbs but Northcutt is the biggest 155 lber I have ever seen so size is not a factor imo.

    It's probably a 50-50 fight imo. Toss a coin.

See it as a 75-25 fight favouring Gall. We haven't seen Galls stand up skills displayed yet, so we don't know what he's got, and having seen Sage's not so stellar ground game, he's in big trouble when the fight goes to the floor.

I wouldn't term it "huge casual fight", I'd say there is some interest but its more of a little intriguing snack, it's cute.

I would lean towards Sage .

TBH This fight should be marinated a lot more before its gets made .

Marinated how? Neither of these guys can beat the top guys in their division, I think now is the perfect time.

We don't know how good Gall's stand up is because he immediately takes his opponents to the ground. Actually, did he TKO his first opponent in the ufc or did he sub him as well? I don't recall and I don't feel like looking it up. Sage is really bad on the ground, but he is improving, but I don't think he's ready to take on a brown belt in BJJ yet. So the question becomes, can Sage stuff Gall's takedowns? I don't think he can. We're going to learn a lot about Gall in this match, I'd wager. My money is on Gall winning and I think Sage will come out as the favorite so I'm going to make a small wager on this when the fight happens.

I think Gall is on the right path and has the skills to take him far. He will improve over his time in the UFC as well. It was smart to call for a match with Northcutt. It's completely winnable for him and will get him some minor name recognition on the resume.
