That's about twice as many as I thought would purchase the fight.

Nope thats very bad numbers for the biggest draw in the sport today

Lance wrote a great piece canelo lost loads of fans because of his cowardness and it will only get worse

PPV is on the way out. Even Pac's numbers were down. Fans are getting smart and the days of these bs ppv's pulling in 400,000 viewers are gone.

I don't know how to feel

On one hand I want ppv to die but on the other bad numbers mean the sport could be in trouble

Wonder how the best guys do numbers wise if they fight each other

PPV isn't on the way out...

Fans will not have a problem buying as long as it's a decent matchup. No one expected Canelo vs Leon smith (is that his name?) to do good numbers.

The promotion was also very poor from HBO for this fight.

The sport was a lot healthier when you didn't have all these crap ppv's. PPV's should be for megafights and all the rest should be on cable or broadcast tv. That's how the sport gets healthy again.

    LOL!
At this rate Canelo will be the one begging GGG for a flat fee.

now the numbers start to get really interesting. i bet that if you total all ppv and site sales, and subtract purses and other expenditures for both fights, i believe the ggg fight might have made a bigger profit.:naughty2:
