Sounds very similar to excuses and tactics that Floyd used to duck Pacquiao for 5+ years. Anyone with common sense and not fooled by Floyd's lies knows that Floyd wanted Pac to age and he delayed it again and again. This was confirmed by Floyd himself in one of his interviews earlier this year.
The problem is that GGGs style is not the type of style that requires a lot of physical feats like a May or Pac. He is upright, basic stance, basic jabs hooks and uppercuts. Nothing fancy, its like a Toyota Corolla, nothing special but always reliable. He could wait for Golovkin to be 39 and will still have to deal with the same ****. If Canelo was smart he would take advantage of the fact that Golovkin can be hit and figure it out from there. He won't be moving around like Floyd and Miguel, no no, Golovkin will be right there asking for that ****.
They clearly have different styles and Pac has one that does not age well. Even a 5th grader can understand this.
Not to get off track but, this sounds like a B.S. excuse for Manny not being able to fight Floyd like he fought Rios, Bradley, Algieri, and Bradley again after the fight. In fact his "style" is the same one he will use in the Vargas fight. Because it was rendered useless against Floyd does not make it old. After the Vargas fight I would like to see your comments on his old style.
I don't think it's about age at all. It's about money. If they were both in their mid 20's GB would still be taking the May Paq route.
I don't think he style was ever argued to have changed. Slowed down, less aggressive, and more gun shy? Sure. But not a different style.
