    he is one of the greatest fighters of all time and his ranking will go up as the years past.
    personally i did not like him / boxed within himself in most fights content to win on points withourt taking any chances / the american sven ottke.
    never fought once in his opponents backyard and strictly an american stay at home fightewr.

    also a piece of **** as a man.
    but this is boxing and IMO the best defensive fighter i have ever seen /
    a great counter puncher and stylist.
    great adaptabilty.

    duran and mosely IMO beat him as a lightweight and hearns and leanord beat him at welter in h2h fights but overall he is imo top 10 ATG not top 5 as he cherry picked most of his opponents to suit his own style.

    Floyd beat 23 TITLE or Ex TITLE holders. This was the era of 4 belts per division. In the old days many of these opponents, such as Ortiz, would have been contenders.

    Yeah I agree he is very dislikeable as a person. But its his boxing achievements, his work ethic, his good looks and his undefeated record is what captivates me

    Perhaps in the top five on skill level. Floyd does even the subtle and finesse things that most boxing fans don't see. However he lacks other attributes such as power and touhgness that other fighters have over him. For example a fighter with the same record Rocky Marciano who is 49-0 also did not have as much skill as Floyd but has tons more power (lb for lb) and toughness then Floyd. So I would take him out of the top 5 for greatest ever.
