Tyson fury....what do ye think of him...?

Yes, you're right, that's how it works.
Fury's problem is he gives a f--k but acts like he doesn't .

 

In this world where it seems we must be told about the ins and outs of a cats arse about every sportsman/celebrity/anyone on tv,Poor old Mr Fury speaks and the world either gasps in horror,laughs,listens or takes the ****,whatever the case if he has health issues I wish him a speedy recovery,boxing has its fair share of worldly characters and like or loathe him he one of the great characters of our sport, sooner hes back the better

 

Hearn seems to think Fury is finished.

I think he will get stripped but come back after a hiatus- he's only 28 and hasn't exactly been in many wars.

 

what the hell was he expecting when he made those stupid homophobic comments to Oliver holt before the klitschko fight, at the very least peter fury/Hennessy should have pulled him up after he made the bellew/price/gay lovers comments years ago that it's not a smart idea to make those types of comments as it will lead to so much hassle if he were to (and eventually did) get to the top, and the whole 'they're after us because we are gypsies' when it was their idiotic comments, and his dads comments at his victory press conference about how the press should bow down to Tyson etc etc, so much of this has been self inflicted

would also argue the same with BJS and he could go down this road but think he's mentally a lot stronger than Tyson and he hasn't had a fight of the profile of fury/klitschko so hand that ever had that type of attention

 

Honestly i think he should retire as much as i d like him to stick around cause theres some big fights out there for him. But these depressions have been documented for a while now. Hes talked about being suicidal at times. His behaviours mostly erratic.

Thats fine going in against john mcdermott etc but when your facing klitchko or joshua or wilder and you dont know in what state of mind your going into the ring in its time to think about calling it a day before it gets dangerous. Especially that he already climbed the mountain. Dethroned the champ. Unless he gets a renewed love of boxing that i dont think hes ever really had...its maybe time to get out. Take the pressure off him.

 

Was going to post something similar. No need to now. Thank the Lord this forum isn't entirely populated by knuckle-draggers who have no concept of empathy or understanding that mental illness seriously impacts on a person's ability to live anything resembling a normal life.

 

I still don't think he's that great of a boxer even after the Wlad win. It was evident Klitschko was past it you could see it in the Bryant Jennings fight as well.

I do like him as a person though and no one should be judging his illness without properly knowing what's going on with him. Hope he comes back from this and is involved in big fights with Haye or Joshua in the future.

 

Fury is nothing but a **** lanky shapeless lump of ****/lard. Hope the **** loses every penny hes made

 

I am very disappointed that Fury ducked out of the Klitschko fight for a second time in a row, let Vlad fight for the titles then fight Fury later. Vlad by knockout!!!!!!!

 

Fury a good lad with serious mental issues, did what nobody else could do and beat Wlad comfortably in his back yard, hope he recovers soon and ideally retires living a long happy life with his family

 

Yeah but a title win is as only as good as the reign afterwards. Not one defence of his titles in a year is ridiculous!!!

 

If he is seriously mentally ill then unfortunately it is unlikely will be any reign afterwards, if this is the end of the road he leaves with a win at odds of almost 5/1 against the best heavyweight by a distance for the last decade not to bad for me

 

As a boxer, he is easily the best H/W around at the moment.

As a person, he quite clearly suffers from Bi Polar, and shows signs of a mild autism for me. The indication that he lives and breathes boxing knowledge, watches every fight he can, can quote you the stats of pretty much any fighter to me shows some form of Asperger's syndrome. With that, also comes awkwardness in social situations, and a lack of awareness of the things they say. If you were to meet the guy one on one, from people I know who have met him, its a pleasant polite person. Put him in front of a camera or an audience, he turns on the persona, and to be honest, if you believe that is the person, then I think you are wrong. But yes, he has said things which are stupid, that I would expect from a person with no PR training, and not the smartest when it comes to thinking before he speaks, but he isn't the only one is he, he just seems to get a tougher ride because of it.

I do think the best move for Tyson at this time would be some time out..even if he managed to drag himself to the fight, i just cant see it been the fury that beat klit that turns up. I wish him well
