Lol yeah. Especially when Danny Garcia could have opted to face, say, Juan Manuel Marquez (as Drenlou suggested). JMM has name value and would bring interest in the form of the Mexican fight fans, plus the whole Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry would have been an angle used to sell that particular fight.

As for the Canelo vs Smith comparison: at least Liam Smith brought a world title to the table; what does Sam Eggington really have to offer? Eggington was comprehensively schooled by Bradley Skeete, and is European level at the very best.

I've never understood this notion why people think Hearn is lying about everything. I believe what he says much more than the vast majority of promoters. He'll exaggerate things to sell an event but I don't think he tells outright lies.
