I don't know if he's heart is in boxing anymore turned down a career high pay day and a chance to become undisputed middle weight. Then turns down a chance to fight Gabe Rosado for the Canelo money ticket claiming Rosado is a bum. But is now fighting Arthur Akavov, is he trying to out do Eubanks for biggest British clown of the year or what. I'm lost with these guys why are they turning down big opportunities with no plan in mind?
I don't mind BJS, I rate him as a fighter... but this just simply doesn't add up. Turn down a fight with Rosado on a massive bill in front of a crowd of 51,000 that's being shown on HBO... a fight which would massively increase his profile in America...... to then defend against Akavov?
I agree I can only think when the fight got offered to him he would of really struggled to make 160lb? Or he just wanted what he has a gimme without looking at the big picture.
Hilly Joe isn't interested in working at his career / profession. He isn't interested in working, period. People like guy and his, because of their background, lack the requisite qualities for sustaining success, like dedication, discipline, work ethic etc. You can't expect too much from them. That's just the way they are.
So BJS lacks dedication, discipline and worth ethic yet has represented GB at the Olympics and has won British, Commonwealth, European and World titles.......
Problem with BJS is he's been too busy chatting and slagging and bitching and licking up to Tyson and forgotten to box! Warden got him his title but they all know that he's a risky champ so that's why they are desperate for the big money fight rather than risk it with a decent fighter, hence he's defending against a nobody. FW works his magic all the time when it comes to protecting a money payday but loves slagging everyone else off when they do the same!
One thing I do know about BJS when he does fight he certainly makes sure he gets well paid and on time.....he was paid late once and that got sorted out very quickly!
I like BJS as a fighter but to dish it out to CEJ for the way he goes about things then go's and does the same **** himself he's hardly helping himself is he. Needs to get out of that barn he's always in and get his career back on track. The big fights are there the question is does he really want it? If this is true then you have to question his motivation's.
I forgot to add he lacks size and a punch too. Just shows how talented he is to still win all the time.
