I like Golovkin and defend him a lot but this is my general line of thinking

I said the same about Garcia turning down Pacquiao

Beating canelo for short money will guarantee big money later

Everyone including promoters and professional boxers saying Canelo's flat offer is to duck GGG

Now you delusional guys see that Floyd did the exact same to duck Pacquiao for 5+ years? If you have a brain that is and not swayed by bull****

oh yeah ? with whom? Badou Jack ?
any UK sells itself with the current level of hype
but GGG doesnt have any US ppv worthy opponent except Canelo
    Deny this if u can

Canelo can stay selling 300k all he wants, but he cant stay at 154-155 forever, soon he'll be forced to come to 160, and all roads will lead to one man,

    try offering flat fees then

It makes no sense for GGG to accept this offer though. Basically what GBP have said is that a 10m flat offer is on the table. The only way that changes down the line is if GGG loses or Canelo decides he doesn't actually want the fight. We know for a fact that the fight isn't happening this year, or in the first half of next year. GGGs' most obvious path is to raise his stock between now and the fight by beating Jacobs or Saunders. If you want to get optimistic then both. That way GGG can come out and say "I was worth 10m last September, what am I worth now"? If Canelo stays undefeated and GGG fails to fight anyone meaningful then there's no reason the 10m offer shouldn't still be on the table this time next year.

I think negotiating so far in advance is bizarre considering GGG will probably get meaningful fight between now and then

that said my perspective on taking the offer is more so if the fight is next. I also believe with how dodged he has been it wouldnt be a bad idea to call the bluff take the offer and see if they have the balls to follow through

I think he bulldozes Canelo. A performance like that would be huge for the longterm

If I was Gennady Id simply tell Oscar & Pollo to just kiss my ass I don't need you, you have nothing I want. It would be a shame though it would be the easiest $$$$$ Gennady ever earned

Paying $20M for Golovkin is like paying $100 for a toothpick.

All a bum like Golovkin deserves in what Eddie Hearn paid him to fight his welterweight; $5M FLAT. No Gate and no PPV.
GBP should pay Golovkin what he is worth, about $5M plus a 10% bonus; FLAT.
That is ALL that a 2 page newspaper like Golovkin is worth.

They are going to fight, they are just making sure their names stay relevant in the media. Oscar is a smart businessman, he has learned from the best (Arum) and he also knows Canelo needs another showcase/tune up fight before Golovkin kicks his ass in 2017.

Their names have never been bigger so that's why this fight will definitely happen 2017 as people want it more than ever now.

Canelo is probably the biggest fight $$$ and attention wise BUT he doesn't have the power to offer ANY take it or leave it BS. He gave up his belt which was the ONLY reason ggg was trying hard to make the fight.

I also believe canelo is the ONLY fighter that has the ability to beat ggg, I don't know if it's really worth trying. If canelo fought AND beat ggg, he would had endured such a beating it will age him dramatically, I favor ggg 70/30 but canelo is a true beast with elite level talent.

Very risky fight for a young canelo

F*ck Canelo...let him wonder around in Middleweight obscurity fighting Golovkin rejects......I would Give Him no concessions until Oscar comes to the Party with say a 60/40 offer.....if it does not get offered so be it as I have said before Golovkin holds the Aces at Middleweight end of story...the Longer Oscar and His mob drag this out the more Canelo is losing Credibility...or what little credibility He has left.!!!!
