    What will it take for him to sellout football stadiums across America? And be a ppv star? And make regular appearances on tmz?

    America needs a hero. Is he the man for the job?

    Clean out heavyweight division?

    He's American, big, powerful and backed by Al Haymon. After Mayweather, he's the next big American hope besides Ward.

    In all fairness, and jokes aside. Deontay could be a very good champion. In my opinion what is holding him back is his mental capacity. He seems to loose it completely at times and starts throwing wild punches. The sort of stuff you see drunk people do when they brawl.
    When he is working behind his jab, he looks really good. The jab to straight right down the middle is up there with the best in the division.
    I don't however like the extremely wide stance he uses as he often leaves himself wide opening trying to avoid shots as he is stepping back. The wider the stance, the slower you are getting back into position leaving Wilder holding both his hands high out in front of him like a pad work session. Someone with handspeed and pressuring him coming forward would dismantle him.
    That is why everyone was interested in seeing the Povetkin fight...

    Firstly, HE WONT DO what it takes to be the face of boxing. He needs to fight more often, against the top 5 and needs to be more positive in the community. Instead hes;
    • Struggled to knockout Zelenoff
    • Struggled to get a top 5 opponent
    • Struggles to get off his ass and give his fans a regular show
    Basically hes not??.....WILD enough.

    This is exactly what i see with him. His footwork is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! If he closed his stance and moved around the ring with better balance he could keep opponents at a distance with his jab and footwork. With his athleticism he could do this all night to just about every guy in the division.

    Clean out most of the top 10 with Joshua staying undefeated and also cleaning out most of the top 10. Then spend a few years hyping the fight while they both fight undefeated journeymen.

    Fight someone good.

    Stop fighting bums.

    Fighting and beating Povetkin would have been huge for him. And I really think he would've won. Basically because he's just so much bigger and Povetkin is so stationary.

    I think he needs to step up and add Danny Williams, Butterbean, Michael Sprott and Tom Dallas on his resume before we can start taking him seriously.

    If he beat Povetkin he would of gotten much respect. Its not all his fault though.
