Fury is the 3rd unavenged loss for Wlad. Problem for his legacy?

Wlad wanted to rematch Fury and right things but it didn't happen. K2 said now they "won't ever fight Fury again as he's too unstable and unprofessional; Wlad's remaining time is too precious."

So after Purrity, Sanders now Fury. Though no fault of his own, how will this impact Wlad's record and legacy. Will future boxing experts take offense at the lack of rematches?

    I think it will.

I believe Mayweather can only call himself TBE with a straight face because he avenged his losses to Castillo and Maidana.

I don't hold Fury against him. He tried to enforce his rematch clause, Fury drank petrol, it all fell apart.

Mike Tyson never avenged his loss to Kevin McBride.

I think we should give Wlad a break ... he copped a points loss when he was near on 40, an age most champs have retired by.

    It doesn't matter really.
He lost the fight, and while going 0-1 against Fury is worse than 1-1, it's better than going 0-2 with him - which would put Wlad in the same class as Dereck Chisora (who Wlad twice pulled out of fights with.)

Wlad will probably get an easier opponent than Fury for a belt or two in his next fight. To enhance his legacy at 40.
Fury will hang over him like a shadow, not because he went 0-1 with Fury, but because Fury is the undefeated heavyweight champion and the whole world knows it.

Mike Tyson never avenged a loss against anyone. Neither did Larry Holmes. Neither did George Foreman.

Lennox Lewis is the only heavyweight champ who avenged all his losses (and his tie).

Wlad retired him, scared him into Depression, scared him to ever come back into a boxing ring, that is revenge enough in my eyes :campeon:

Only because his opponents agreed to the rematch. If Rahman had snorted drain cleaner like Fury and retired before the rematch, Lewis would forever be known as "the guy that was ktfo by that crazy dude, lol".

Yeah. Him and Mayweather avenged both their losses well.

This time round Wlad at least has tried everything to enforce the rematch, you can't really blame him for Fury imploding.

I reckon the delay in Joshua v Klitschko is due to Wlad demanding a pesky rematch clause after he gets sparked.

You mean he rematched and beat BOTH fighters that gave him any real trouble. So he had 2 close fights, (truly only close fights out of 49 ****ing fights) and had a rematch with both immediately, and those were victorys, meaning MOST in the sport would had taken the close W and immediately moved on.

That is something else man. When one is so great he has to beat fighters more convincingly than his haters demand.

When has there ever been a fighter that's had to give rematch's to fighters who did better than expected, NO ONE.
