Looking at interviews, the weigh in, face off etc I get the impression Kevin Hooper is very quietly confident of winning this? I've watched a couple of his fights on you tube, can anybody see him pulling it off? If it's close will the Dodd decision go against Cardle? Does anyone know for sure if Cardle wins it outright if he does win, saw a good interview with Gallagher who himself seemed uncertain if the draw counted

dont rate cardle and imo he has over achieved in getting the british title but i haven't seen anything in hooper that makes me think he wins, but i hope i am wrong and he wins and then he can fight masher for the title:thumbsup:

Literaly 2 mins ago i was telling a friend that hooper can pull this off. Hes certainly an improved fighter. The last time i saw him waz when he fought gary sykes for the english about 3yr ago. He was on the backfoot all night and although it waz a fairly close affair tbere was nothing of real note about his work, a lot of jammin and fallin in etc. Around 2 month ago i was lucky enough to watch him spar, hes a different fighter now, he was on the front foot throughout and all i can say is hes a lot better. I managed to speak to him after and brought up the sykes fight and how he now seemed to be a better fighter. He replied that it was his trainer at the sykes fight who preffered backfoot fighting and thats what he taught him,hes since switched trainers and is far happier now. He was a real pleasant guy and i hope he wins to tonight. Cardle can come accross as arrogant to the public although to be fair to him, people who know him personaly say he isnt like that.
If hooper can fight like he does in sparin, and he was sparin good kids then i reckon he can win this.

I watched his fight with Dingsdale on youtube and Wager, was hard to tell exactly what level he is at from them. A few years ago I had an amateur lad on in Grimsby he beat a lad from there who has kept in touch, he's training with Hooper and was telling me a little bit about his sparring, obviously as he is training with him he's backing him but there does seem to be a certain aura of quiet confidence about the whole team. I've never met Hooper who certainly doesn't appear to be the badmouthing type but something about him suggesting real genuine belief, obviously from what you say he believes he has improved a lot and Cardle mentioned a tough spar a couple of years back on his IFL interview

I know nothing about Hooper tbh,but the template to trouble Cardle is there for all to see.Try to push him back and if he stays on his toes and overuses the exaggerated movement like he did against Dodd he tires after the mid way point.

Just checking Hooper's record (not one for always reading too much into them) but you notice once again there is a theme with Cardle's opponents in that they don't carry much pop.His opponents have very low ko ratio's and is Hooper capable if not out boxing Cardle out hustling him clearly enough to win on points?

This is a mandatory defence. Hooper hasn't been cherry picked

Surely the only way Hooper wins is if it's stopped on cuts? Cardle is cut more often that Chuck Wepner.

Pretty comfortable from Cardle in the end, much better than his last few performances.

Lewison would be a big danger to David Price.

Cardle was good last night his movement was nice and sharp in contrast to the exagerated movement vs Dodds. He was a level above.
