Were the fighters before that all prehistoric?

None. Would've been some epic battles, however. And some epic late round KO's.

How can you say none when smaller men who fought from middle to light heavyweight beat Johnson and drew with him?

Since you underlined the word prime, you have to define it here. My guess if you leave out the dates when he was defeated by men who were either shorter or lighter. But go for it and tell us! We shall see if I'm correct. Furthermore, the onus of proof is on you to prove Johnson was lighter.

Choysnki was shorter and likely lighter. Johnson had 23+ fights under his belt when this one happened. Hart was shorter and perhaps lighter. Griffin may have been lighter and was past his prime in 1901 when he beat Johnson.

Jack O'Brein, according to primary sources outboxed Johnson, and he was well below the 175-pound limit.

GunBoat smith was most certainly lighter when he TKO'd Johnson in a 4 round exhibition match in 1909

Now please tell us if you think CHoynski Or O'Brien were better than the following light heavyweights! In fact, I'd like to see your list of light heavies, as
you likely rate them below these men...which makes if kind of hard to pick Johnson easily, doesn't it? HAHAHA

    Archie Moore
    Ezzard Charles
    Sam Langford
    Gene Tunney
    Bob Foster
    Tommy Loughran
    Michael Spinks
    Bob Fitzsimmons
    Billy Conn
    Roy Jones, Jr.
    Maxie Rosenbloom
    John Henry Lewis
    Harry Greb
    Sergey Kovalev

PS: I'm going to be on vacation soon, so it might take a while to reply back.

Don't stress yourself, I can't be bothered to go round the houses again reiterating the same things, only for you to ignore them and regurgitate the same sh*t again and again.Suffice to say Adam Pollack believes Johnson was a green super middle when Choynski beat him, and everyone knows you CANNOT have a decision in a a spar so no TKO.
Griffin was just 31 years old ,would fight on for a further 4 years losing only one bout!

But you keep happy in your own little universe on Planet Mendoza. It's enough to know you are an object of ridicule on this subject. Going on vacation? May I suggest Alleppo?

I think Jack Johnson at his best would have beaten them all. That is what I refer to when I think of "prime". Anyone can lose any given day at any time. That's boxing. But at his best, I don't think Johnson would have been beat by any of the light heavyweights.

So Johnson comes into the ring at a max of 190? Or does the LHW have to fight Johnson at whatever
weight he can carry? And how many rounds? 15 or 45?

At 175, and 15 rounds, I'd say Dwight Braxton Qwawi, Archie Moore, Michael Spinks and Bob Foster give a good fight, and Evander Holyfield beats him.

Over 175, I'd say only Holyfield beats him.

Johnson came in as heavy as 208 in shape.

It is hard to get a handle on his size, due to his unusual career circumstances, but I think that he was probably comparable to Holyfield.

When Tommy Burns beat O Brien for the heavyweight title both he and O Brien were under175lbs so Burns could justifiably have claimed the light heavyweight title too.As we know Johnson toyed with Burns

If you want an answer just look at film from fighters from 40's up, or late 30's then look at fighters at the turn of the 20th century. Say before the end of World War 1. If you can't see the difference in technique and skill level, your simply refusing to see. Plus Johnson was 6' tall weighted around 200 pounds, called the Galveston Giant of his day. But would be considered a big Lightheavy or A Cruiser weight buy standards of the last 40 yrs. So if you want to come off like a smart ass, yes it was prehistoric.
