We should find out if Ward is brittle around the whiskers in around 6-7 weeks.

I'm still sure Ward will pick up an "injury" before then though.

There is nothing to see, when he got caught with a tap he went down and a bell saved him. He is 100% packing glass

If a shoe sales man put him down very easily I would like to see what a shoe smith could do.

Don't know if Ward has a good chin or not, he has never been tested, only fought 168 lb. fighters, in his last fight he fought a middleweight who was a midget and could not fight at all, who was Brand and Barrera? Nobodies...............Ward did manage to beat the middleweights such as the very small Abraham, how just puts his gloves in front of his face, never could fight at 168, a short small guy..............Froch, who had very wide punches, not a good boxer, just a slugger, Bika, wild, not a good fighter at all, Kessler, fairly good fighter, but nothing special, all had to travel, Ward never had to travel, always had his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., he beat Kessler with an illegal headbutt, intentional, should have been disqualified............

I feel he may have a shaky mandible but that does not necessarily mean Kovalev will test it. He may not get many decent clean shots in on Ward, but I feel Ward's prime has passed him by, so you never know.

And yet, later in his career, Ward has taken far harder shots than that one and stood
    up to them..........Amazing huh?

Ward's chin likely isn't granite, but very doubtful it's china.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems historically defensive minded fighters have had great chins not the other way around

Please don't compare the paper mache chin of Ward to the iron chin of Money Mayweather.
