Parker-Haye would be a nice way to set up a unification fight with Joshua. I wouldn't expect Haye to win.

I couldn't see Haye wanting to fight Joshua for the IBF title, too dangerous. And Wlad going the WBA route against Browne, means Dave wouldn't want to get schooled against old Klitschko again either. So typically the route with the least resistance is the WBO title for Haye. Hope it ain't fatty he's facing next year.

 

Parker will start by winning the WBO is fashionable style. Then...base himself fulltime in Las Vegas, in his new dungeon of the MGM.

The American market will adopt him as one of their own, as they don't have anyone else apart from a block who beats up internet trolls.

WBO have ok'd Parker vs Ruiz for WBO title, beyond that it'll just be normal mandatory defenses for the champion.

 

I see, looked into it further - Haye will become mandatory after this fight which makes sense. It looks like the mandatory defense will be ordered in 3 months after this fight which is pretty standard stuff, Parker vs Haye as said... exciting fight!

No but he will dance all around the ring and avoid being hit by Joshua for a big fat paycheck. Blame an injury for his poor performance, then retire.

 

I'm 40/60 that Haye wouldn't take the fight. He know he'll probably lose and it wont be for a huge payday, just a good payday. That's probably not enough for him to take a likely loss. On the other hand, if he were to win, he might be able to get 50% of an astronomical purse against Joshua, so it might be tempting enough to take a stab at it.
