Klitschko has fought and beaten everyone .....Front to back

From Chagaev to Povetkin to Ibragimov to Peter, twice to Chambers to Brock

So now, he gets belittled for pursuing whoever holds the most prized of his previous titles, the WBA?

What kind of twisted reasoning is that ?

Joshua has not beaten ANY big names and keep in mind that Joshua will be there next year, once Wlad has a title to bring to the table( right now he has nothing but a memorable loss to bring to the table )..... making the potential fight that much bigger than it would be now

Going after the WBA title is Klitshhko's smart move, right now

Hearn would have told Wlad during negotiations that he could get the WBA to play ball and allow their belt to be part of the deal.

Looks like he has failed to, and the main reason for that appears to be Lucas Browne has the WBA by the balls with their previous promises to him :

WBA president Gilberto Mendoza Jr. said on Thursday night that an announcement will not be made until Friday afternoon regarding whether it will sanction Klitschko vs. Joshua or if it will mandate Klitschko vs. Browne. The WBA was supposed to make an announcement earlier today, but did not because it has "too many legal matters to consider" as it relates to "the settlement agreement with Lucas Browne," who had previously been stripped of the secondary title earlier this year following a failed drug test and suspension.

The WBA is by far the least prestigious title of all the sanctioning body titles.

They have 3 world titles in the each weight class FFS.

If he wants to fight Joshua next year then it's not really that smart of a move either as Joshua is only going to get better and he is going to get worse.

Joshua didn't deserve to defend his title against klitschko

    He has to prove himself

AJ had no intention of ever fighting Wlad.

He is too inexperienced and is still padding his record cleverly and building his experience slowly.

Yet Klitschko is the one rejecting the fight while Joshua has agreed to everything......

At this point pursuing the belt is the smart choice. But I'd rather see him vs AJ.

If its true that Wladimir is backing from the fight, then man i`m disappointed. Huge Klitschko fan, but after Fury was he got to show us that was just a bad night. And what better fight would be against Joshua ?
Sorry but that was the fight that Klitschko need, to show he is still the man to beat in the HW.
Sorry Klitschko, but since Manny past you are doing s***. Your behaviour change and you really doing s***.
And i see him very distracted by his wife and his other jobs, rather then being 100% focus and motivated on boxing.
And the worst thing he has done was to put that fake coach Banks in his team as main coach. And that boy is a coach only on paper.
Klitschko has great career, but was all thanks to Manny. After him, he regressed very quickly..
He lose stamina, speed, workrate, reflexes and now relies a lot more on clinches. With Manny he was the man throwing most punches in a fight. After 2012 he throw a lot less punches per round, and thats due to stamina and age.
Sorry but if Klitschko want to make a statement AJ is the FIGHT, none else !!!

I said as soon as the talks were announced that Hearn was using the Wlad name purely for publicity and that the fight would never happen.

That is verified in my posting history.

I was right. It was all for publicity.

A title is only as good as the champion holding it.

Joshua while unproven is the heir apparent at the moment, this fight does way more for his legacy and current standing than beating Browne.

If Wlad wants to make a firm statement by showing he's still the best heavyweight in the world then fighting Browne is not the fight to choose. Fact is if he beats Browne it proves nothing, he'll just be another title holder on the same level as Wilder and Joshua. He lost a lot with the Fury loss many doubt he's the same fighter, many expected him to lose the rematch with Fury, if he wants to claim the top spot at heavyweight again Joshua is the fight to take.

I would say beating Joshua, but then Browne has done more at HW than Joshua has fairly comfortably. There are plenty of angles to look at this and spin it. I'll try to judge better once we actually have some fights announced
