Why Do You Dislike Gennady Golovkin?

It's his god damn fans more than anything else, they're delusional. Oh he takes punches on purpose to make fights more exiting, best middleweight of all time, hardest puncher pound4pound in history, most ducked fighter in history, none of us know what happens behind closed doors, but to say most ducked fighter in history is absolute bullcrap. Kovalev killed someone in the ring and people still get in the ring with him, yet his fans believe everyone is scared of GGG.

He also does not get punched on purpose, against Stevens, Stevens landed a nice bomb towards the end of round 3 or 4 and continued to land at will till end of the round. The whole time GGG has his guard up to try and block those punches and Stevens foundd holes in his guard. His fans of course say he took those punchers on purpose to make fight more exiting.

All these mediocre fighters have no problem getting in the ring with him, he is filling up arenas but K2 saying his opponents are asking for too much, even though promoters for other fighters that pull in less gate and viewers can pay their opponents more. He looks to be a very gifted fighter with flaws who has yet to prove himself, nothing more noting less. Lastly the demographic excuse is just as pathetic as people that use the word hater.

 

All bull****. He's a middleweight and is willing to fight anyone at MW. Of course racism plays a part, all the usual suspects are Floyd's, Ward's, etc., biggest fans.

Don't like him because in 35 fights at the age of 35 has not beaten anyone of note yet his fans claim he's the second coming. Never goes out of his way to make a fight. Bashes Canelo for fighting Khan then drags Brook up to 160 which is even worse. Says he wants to unify 160 but seeks fights with Froch and JCC JR at 168. Offered Ward a fight at 164 instead of 168. Stays in a dead division yet cries about people ducking him instead of moving up. Takes step aside money. His fans give him passes for things they bash other more accomplished fighters for doing. I could go on and on.

 

I dont know why peole hate on any fighters. Obviously there are excpetions like Broner but GGG always comes across well imo not just in pre and post fight interviews but in videos of him training and stories that people say.

GOes both ways though as people hate on anything and the stans will just over hype anything.

You say this because of Floyd, one of the most dislikeable human beings on Earth. You are the racist. No one would normally like someone like Floyd unless they had an agenda. As far as his skill, I've always given him his due. Still a ducker.

 

I don't dislike GGG, in fact I think he's an excellent fighter with an exciting style. What do dislike is what he represents; he's the hook casuals hang their hat on, with their obsession for power over skill. What I also dislike is how he's being managed: swerving himself into the the P4P mix on a diet of B-Level boxers. I dislike how this makes some believe he's the most ducked fighter in history, which is frankly so laughable it's not even worth discussing. Yes, some boxers have avoided him but that's because he is high risk, low reward but he avoided Ward for the same reason. So some ducked him, he ducked others, and in nearly all cases for business not sporting reasons. Get over it.

So it's not GGG I dislike it's the way people dote on him while turning a blind eye to the fact he's in his mid-30s and yet to fight a leading contender, or leave the comfort zone of 160.

guy gets called a "small mw" when they wanna defend his duck of a great 168 fighter....but when you ask why he wont meet canelo, who has 0 fights at the full 160 limit, at a catchweight it becomes "he'd be drained that's not fair"
