Really? A top 3 atg close to prime heavyweight in Lennox Lewis couldn't destroy a past it Holy, but Klitchko does? Serious?

Holyfield really wasnt that great as a HW, he was a blown up Cruiserweight.

With Wlad's length of reign as undisputed HW champion of the world, he is clearly higher on the ATG list than Holyfield.

As a fighter later in his career at HW, the main strengths of Holyfield was his freakish determination and stamina and his iron mandible. You could slap him with anything and he absorbed it. This is why there are question marks on the H2H basis, but a post 2006 Wlad wins. I think there is a good argument to say a prime Holyfield at HW could get to a pre 2006 Wlad and nail him

There is no way Wlad stops Holyfield in his prime. Just no way. I have seen Holyfield hit with every punch in the book from some of the biggest punchers ever and barely blink an eye. Wlad wins but only by a UD.

Wlad doesn't UD Holyfield by landing only 10 punches a round. He'd have to up his punch output by a considerable margin and he'd likely blow a gasket early trying to keep up. Holy's body shots speeds the up process. We're looking at two different levels of fighter here.

Seperate conversation with another poster and nothing at all to do with you.
Who is Vladimir? Someone else you are bringing up?

Think you are getting a not confused with counter points
Think this thread is too much for you. Best you move on to a thread that won't keep you awake thinking about it all night

Well, you still didn't answer the question. When another poster brought up Lennox Lewis, you questioned that poster why he brought LL up. Well you mentioned in that contri that the thread was about Holy and Vladimir and questioned why he brought LL in. You did that. You can't have it both ways. Now then why bring Haye into it when he's nothing to do with this thread?

Consistancy trumps winning belts on and off .Wlad should be considered higher unless you place exciting fights with more notable fighters more important .

Bowe had a short prime, but for a stretch there in 91-92 hell yes he was every bit elite.

By the time Andrew got ahold of him that was way later, he was a shadow of his former self.

I don't need boxrec to explain this stuff to me

Normally don't post very often but this is an interesting one.

I think Wlad has excellent skills in some areas, but IMO he ain't a fighter (which I'm sure somewhere he's admitted before) and i don't think his resume is all time world class. It's not is it?

Put it this way, if I had to bet my life on one of these guys to win a fight, and that fight was against any other heavyweight in the history of the division, then I back the best HW version of Holyfield. He could have coped at HW in the late 80s early 90s, for example, I doubt Wlad would.

(I discount the PEDs issue, I suspect in due course we'll see nearly every high level athlete in the modern era has pushed the margins to be generous)

I did reply. Look a few posts back. You should know as it would have come up as an alert to you. So I guess you were pretending to have not seen. Do that. It will be better for you to keep out

The Golota fight was the fight right after arguably Bowes biggest win in stopping Holyfield
