Warren tried everything to keep Hatton away from Tszyu because he was certain Hatton would get the **** kicked out of him. He even said this prior to the fight. Watch the entire show again and look at how down Warren is. He was convinced his cash cow was going to get beaten.

That fight would never have happened if Hatton hadn't took the bull by the horns and said "If you don't get me the big fights, I'll find someone who will".

So..... the "path of least resistance" is to step UP in weight, and fight the P4P#1 in his own country?

    Interesting viewpoint.

And I'm sure that if he fought Witter instead of Floyd there's NO WAY you not be saying that he ducked a real challenge to fight an old "euro bum", right? :yep

Bottom line - if you don't like him that's fine. Why bother writing an essay about why nobody else should like him?

    Sad. Just sad. :verysad

I'm not particularly a Hatton fan by the way. I was always a HUGE Tszyu fan (and a Manchester United supporter. :yep)

I'm amazed........Hatton is nothing more than some piece of **** wrestler......
He and John Ruiz top the list
Hatton is a farce that was out on his feet a few times(against a guy who hasnt fought in 15 months, and 3 divisions beneath him) despite the ref doing everything but sucking his dick

What a circus and what a load of ****

as a british boxing fan i find it very funny that a supposed calzaghe fan (i assume you a fan seeing as you have him as your avatar) is saying hatton doesnt deserve our support...he'll have my support before calzaghe ever does!! i think most the nation would feel that way too

He's just fought the world p4p no1 and future great and Hall Of Famer, he fought and beat the p4p no 3, he also fought Castillo who was p4p no 7 with ring (certainly was a year to 6months before the fight, dont have a copy of at the time). Hes fighting the ring No1 contender in his division in his next fight, and then may get in the ring with the world P4P no 2. What are you talking about!

He fought a top 10 contender in a comeback fight last night after previously getting brutally TKO'ed and suffering his first loss.

As far as quality opponents go nowadays its impossible for him to fight at a higher level then that lot. He has some padding from his early career but so do 99pc of boxers somewhere or other.

If he fights pac, he will have fought p4p no 1, p4p no 2, p4p no 3, p4p no 7, and recently the no 1 contender in his division, after just beating another top ten contender in a comeback fight. He then may rematch the world p4p no 1.

    Give the guy a break.

Well, Castillo was a shadow of his former self and out of his depth at 140, and Lazcano shouldn't be in anybody's current top 10 at 140, but I agree with the rest.

It's hard to argue that post-Tszyu Hatton has continued the life of a protected fighter. He could have chosen an easier opponent in his step up to welterweight. He didn't. He could have chosen an easier opponent yesterday. He didn't. Sure it would have involved bypassing a truckload of cash, but he could have avoided Mayweather. He didn't.

I'll leave the domestic melodrama to you Brits, but I'd say Timothy Bradley pretty much ended that little show. Not fighting Witter isn't going to define Hatton's legacy by any stretch of the imagination.

    Thank you :good

some so called boxing fan are so full of there own self worth its not even funny.

Most will glorify there favorite fighter to demigod Warriors status and then feel let down when they find out there favorite fighter, fights for the money for money and fame.
Boxing is a form of entertainment , where the fighter take the risk not the fans.

I understand the business aspect (Hatton's a big ticket seller etc) but if that's true it's arrogant.
