He is playing it down so when he does come back it will get a massive reception.

My guess is on May 2017

Hope not, MayPac 1 did enough damage as it is. Besides, who really wants to see Floyd win 9/12 rounds by landing two jabs while evading Manny for the rest of the round?

As a floyd fan unless hes coming back for may pac 2 or thurman, garcia or spence, he should stay retired, I want to see him go out at the top, Not come back and fight non elite fighters just to show he can still hang. If he comes back and beats the likes of thurman or spence etc he would get HUGE props schooling either of those would be insane at his age.

Coming back to fight the likes of another berto would be horrible, If anybody can come back at near 40 and beat the likes of a spence or thurman tho its floyd that would be legit epic, As crazy as it sounds i would not be surprised if floyd could still come back an unify the division. If he did that i don't think anybody could question his tbe status.

I have never believed for a second he is done but I figure if it gets to two years he is through

Greats like De La Hoya and Lennox managed to be smart and stay done, Tyson too

I hope Floyd stays out but big money possibilities vs Canelo or Pacquiao still loom especially since he could get the middle crown from Canelo vs a guy he virtually beat 11-1 12-0 already.

Selecting Berto (ie: a routine defence) as his last opponent suggests Floyd himself sensed his powers were waning and age was catching up. This alone makes me feel he'll stay retired. And with each passing month it becomes less likely we'll see him box again. His '0' means way more to him than risking it and boxing again aged 40. And to be fair, he's got nothing left to prove.

come back n fight danny , thurman , or spence thats b great , hes waiting for some one to blow up but hes a smart business man , he might not be all that succesful after the pac man fights cuz casuals prolly wont get suckered into ordering anymore.

He's had numerous chances to face Porter/Brook/Bradley/Thurman, but won't.

    Won't fight Golovkin.

Nearly killed the sport with his "fight" against Manny.

    Nobody cares about Manny anymore.

    Vargas isn't popular.

He's got no options. And if GGG was to smoke Canelo, and Manny retires, then what? It's either face a young lion or stay retired.

Floyd knows when to make the move he has made a career of perfect timing when the buzz comes he will announce his return
