Put him in with a live opponent and see what will happen to him.

I think it's going massively over-the-top to slate Jamie as much as people are on here. Hardly world champion level, but I've had three white collar charity fights, won two, lost one. I consider myself honest and a real boxing geek and I can say hand-on-heart that I was convinced I'd won the one I lost quite comfortably and of the two I won, I knew I'd won one (Butterbean body shot, bye bye.) and considered myself very, very lucky on the other one.

I spoke to the judges and my mates afterwards and it turns out the only person who thought I'd won the one I lost, was me. Likewise, on the one I thought I might have lost - I got all three rounds according to everyone else.

If I can offer any insight on this minimal experience, it was due to how much stuff hurt. The guy I beat who I thought I might have lost to, punched significantly harder than the guy I actually lost to. Every punch registered, every punch hurt. The guy who 'beat' me (yup, I'm still bitter enough to use '' on beat!) didn't hurt me and I didn't feel like I was about to cough up a lung after the fight, so just assumed I had it in the bag.

Sosa was a naturally smaller guy than McDonnell right? I don't think it's out of the question to assume Jamie didn't feel the pain, so didn't feel the loss...even though we're all telling him he lost. As I said, I'm not trying to be billy big bollocks "look at me, I fought once", I can just understand why you might think you'd won when you haven't.

Remarkably low-key response from Solis - if anything he won by a CONSIDERABLY wider margin.
