Conor gets slaughtered, we have levels and Conor is average at best. He's not even a grappler and his kicking is all flash and no substance. The only thing he does well is his boxing and that's relative. He's a king against MMA bums but even a Gabe Rosado would wreck him
In MMA? Conor but he would have to fight differently than how he typically fights. In boxing it wouldn't go past one round lol
GGG kills him and shows MMA what it really means to be a standup fighter...Connor only shots is on the floor and he isn't even the best in his own field there. UFC sucks because these guys can't last more than a couple of years...all hypejobs. With boxing most top level guys have a record which goes back 10's of years. They really know their craft.
Another UFC vs boxing thread lol ... Anyway, in boxing Golovkin wins by first-round knock-out, in UFC McGregor ought to win. I say "ought to" because: - Golovkin is quite a lot bigger than McGregor - it's easier to transition from boxing to UFC than vice versa in my opinion - (some may disagree, but) it is my personal belief that the top stars in boxing are generally more talented than the top stars of UFC, due to the larger talent pool in boxing.
Yeah, because fighting for TWENTY YEARS shows that you're fighting the best. You're either inactive, broke or cherry-picking to fight that long. Fact.
Golovkin beats him in both. I'm a fan of both MMA and boxing also but i can see levels and Golovkin is clearly a better and bigger fighter. McGregor only has a left hand. His kicking can be effective but i don't feel he's that strong in that area, either. Golovkin i heard has experience in wrestling sambo also apparently.
You clearly know nothing about mma. Boxers last longer at the top because there are many more ways to lose in mma. Also mma fighters can't pad their records like boxers do by fighting bums today. The best fight the best all the time. You get Kovalev/Ward in every card
Somewhat true. Well maybe they should pad their records more intill they become the complete article. Kell Brook & GGG didn't spend 8-10 years of their careers not fighting the best for a reason. The best kind of career longevitiy and success you can expect from an MMA fighter is what 3-4 years? it's a sudden peak of hype & money followed by a sharp decline. I tried following it 4 years ago these guys are there then gone in the blink of an eye.
If McGregor manages to get Golovkin to the floor, then it's game over for Golovkin. If it's a stand up game fight predominantly, I'm picking Golovkin. Can you imagine Golovkin with 4oz gloves?!
