EHonda is Japanese, and a Sumo wrestler, dont see the appeal to the Trump supporter for the Great fictional Japanese sumo from street fighter.

If Golovkin has a defense against kimura or guillotine or arm bar then he would win by submission nah by KTFO!

Agreed, McGregor wins via Hadouken and inverted bicycle kick.

This is pretty spot on imo. If a guy is young enough and puts in the time and training he can go from boxing to mma and be a champion. (see RousyvsHolm) for example. Boxing there are just too many little tricks of the trade that can only be learned and mastered through years of not just training but getting in the ring and experiencing them. There are things in boxing that cannot be taught but are learned in the crucible of combat.

My knee jerk reaction was that McGregor wouldn't engage him in a fist fight and would try to keep the competition strictly wrestling. McGregor isn't much of a wrestler, but he'd just get slaughtered if he tried to box Golovkin.

Then I looked on the internet and Golovkin has a background in wrestling, so he's not a complete novice and might hold his own in that area. Now, it's looking either like an even fight or maybe weighted in GGG's favor.

This reminds me of similar threads a few years ago about whether one of the Klitschko's could beat Cain Velazquez. Turns out that the Klitschko's know kickboxing, wrestling, and karate. Vitali even used to be a pro kickboxer before he transitioned to boxing.

Connor is pretty good at running , I can see it going into the 2nd minute of the first round . Then GGG tags him , Conor has a big ass head .

You can't get Kovalev/Ward in every card because the talent level isn't deep enough in mma to produce Kovalev or Ward. What you get every card is two bums and they tell you they are as good as Kovalev Ward. And you believe it.

Ronda Rousey! You mean the Mike Tyson of our era?

And before any of you mma guys call me a hater, Ronda Rousey wasn't all hype. She's just the best her sport can provide with such a shallow talent pool, the same as the rest of the UFC. She's definitely the elite of her sport, but it doesn't take much to be elite in a tiny sport. It's the difference between domestic level and world class. Domestic level athletes are excellent and perfectly respectable athletes, but when they get in the ring with a world class p4p type guy they get eviscerated.

Golovkin with 4 oz gloves landing on McGregor would be equivalent to someone picking up a sledgehammer and smashing it in his face. It wouldn't be too pretty.

    Wise words

If we were to believe they hype Rousey is a once in human history type athlete, basically a modern day Achilles. So great you would swear they were gods!

Mcgregor in a MMA fight might kill GG. In a stand up fight I'm rooting for Mcgregor but GG probably loses. Lol
