Suppose Hagler fought Hearns the way he did Leonard, with Hearns Boxing him, being the rush at Hearns was not Hagler's regular style, and the Hit man's broken hand never occurred. .What does everyone predict would have happened? And the leg problem Hearns mentioned? How would a fading Hagler have done against The Hearns that faced Shuler a year later? Does Tommy have any chance? Just curious...

Hearns UD in that case. Hearns simply too quick and rangey for Hagler, if Hagler tried to box him. His chin was also good enough to see him through any "normal" type of fight.

Hagler, give him credit, knew what he had to do and executed a savage gameplan perfectly. He knew that he'd have to eat bombs and he knew that he had the power to crack Tommy's chin IF he crowded him and gave him no room to work.

Tommy's legs are still not going to allow him to make it to the finish line against this guy. Once Hearns gets fatigued from all that movement--which was mostly hands and not feet--he's in big trouble. And he's trying to circle or backing up because he is not backing up Marvin. Just who would like the Hearns chances once he is retreating?
