Having a guy like Manny Pacquaio land only 1 punch in a whole round really sounds like masterclass defence.

If Ward gets the victory like that, he still won. The goal for either of them is not to go to war and really FIGHT, they both want to win. Who cares what Ward does, if it gets him the win then it has to be done.

I have always liked and admired what Floyd has done in boxing. He has been one of my favourite fighters of recent years. I dont like catch weight fights too much and although I thought Floyd looked great against Canelo it was at a catch weight when he was ok to fight Oscar at the full weight.
The time that I really thought Floyd deserved big respect was when he fought Judah after Baldomir. In general I felt that Judah was a fighter that would have beaten Baldomir 8 out of 10 times but didnt when it happened. Floyd could have skipped Judah but didnt and faced him. Big credit to Floyd with that

The bitching and whining before this fight is something else. Only people who are shook do that before a big showdown. Scared bitches over a boxing match.

Ward will do anything to win and KKKovalev will only have himself to blame if he lets Ward do what he wants.

My advice would be - If you think it will be a bad fight, don't watch it.

Kov is used to fighting bigger guys. There should be no excuses if Ward makes Kov fight Ward's fight (inside and dirty). If Ward wins, it will be the usual waaah-ward-won-but-hes-boring. Get ready to be bored but don't cry like you expected something different.

The massive difference (obviously this is going over your head) hops was in complete survival mode from 1 minute in round 1, ward will TRY to WIN the first few rounds but I really don't know what happens when he realizes he's out gunneduring.

Is he like the true greats that can raise their level or does he get beaten down, this is such a great match up

    So what?
I am cheering for Kovalev but if he can't figure out how to counter this then he should lose.
That is the sport of boxing. If you want bull**** go watch the UFC.

Quite probably, it's down to Kovalev to counteract.

I honestly do understand the "a win is a win" way of thinking, that's the most important thing but I think both have to fight/box, if either are negative throughout or try to fiddle their way through then they will deserve criticism.
