Major respect to Andre for weathering the storm and giving all the glory to Jesus Christ. Come on guys this ain't our first rodeo. We all knew Kovalev had to KO Ward to win this fight, I am not going to take anything away from Ward just because all the judges gave Ward every round after the 6th. I thought Ward and his corner did a good job. Virgil Hill saying Russians are quitters in tough fights is funny and a bit racist but the rules for that in the USA are a bit warped. I love boxing but I hate it. I thought I would never say this but maybe it's time to be an MMA fan full time. Conner McGregor forever
Ward said after the fight Kovalev's punches didn't hurt him, he's a lying sack of ****, that's not very honorable when you're such a devout Christian.
Kovalev said that Wards punches are nothing, he didn't feel them, the only thing he said that Ward managed to do couple of headbuts. Ward is just a pathological liar.
From what I saw he was telling the truth. Got up straight away after the knockdown, smiling a lot, eyes looking perfect, legs nice and firm. Flash knockdown and nothing more. And the constant showboating showed he wasn't worried by the power. Can you honstly say a guy fearful of his opponents power would showboat so often as Ward did? If he were worried he wouldn't have engaged so much and took the fight to Kovalev after being down in points early. But again, your bias has deterred your common sense.
If Ward's punches did not hurt Kovalev why did he not just walk right through him? The truth is they hurt enough to dissuade him. I noticed he bloodied Kovalev's by rounds 9/10. It was a close but Ward won fairly.
He was hurt but not badly. That said, no Christian honour should be expected after a street fight, though...
