I had it 6-6 with Kov getting the edge by virtue of a kd.

This was a close fight and one in which Ward got the victory. Either man could have won it.

I don't see it that way.

I had it 6 clear for Kov, three clear for Ward, and three swing rounds.

Even if you give all three swing rounds to Ward (questionable), Kov still takes it.

Under such circumstances, I can't see propelling the questionable winner into p4p 1 on the basis of such a 'victory.'

Too much of a stretch for Ward to get the nod.

Yes but that's only a stretch to you. To me it was nip and tuck the whole way through. Most of the rounds were swing rounds imo.

Either man deserved the nod for me.

If you scored it for Kov , which apparently you did, didn't you say that your scores were gospel when it came to ranking fighters ?

Five years ago, I made the following thread:

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/thread...h-takes-precedent-when-ranking-boxers.362431/

    Yours was the second response:
Based on the above, wouldn't your scoring of last nights bout give you pause when it comes to ranking Ward at #1 ?

My scores are gospel as they reflect my view of a fight and a fighter.

After 7 years discussing boxing at detail I've come to learn that there's nothing wrong with bowing to a higher authority.

    Okay. :sisi1

    Generally, I do too.

    Some exceptions:

    Lewis Holy 1

    Oscar Tito

    Bradley Pac 1

    Ward Kovalev.

(I've watched this last one twice and I just can't find 7 rounds out of the last 10 to give to Ward.)

I have Whitaker v Chavez. Lewis v Holy. Fenech v Nelson and Lara v Williams. I can't comprehend those scores.

You all aught to make yourself better meaningful. You ARE for the better of the Sport no/ yes???
Ban certain boxers who "fault" administratively.
Put the right stresses on this & it may well pick up universally. Luis Ortiz: BAN HIM. Lucas Browne: BAN HIM. Javobs of 160: BAN HIM. Put out APB. Squash the concept of the duel and tri championships. YOU KNOW IN YOUR OWN HEARTS WHAT IRREPAIRABLE DAMAGE SUCH DOES WITH OUR CROSSOVER.

Damn , the system sure lot of knobs-to-turn//here.
Rankings are one thing! Pronouncing champions something else. WBO WBC IBF WBA is the field I will recognize at a "first echelon" world championship. I'm founding (since March/2007) a work I title: United WBC WBA IBF WBO (dash) "the second echelon factor" [UWBCAFO-I]. Working purely as a advocation for the FIRST &MAJOR FOUR. Calling is "absolute" for the '2e'.
AND...value we have '2e' = approx FIVE USA STATES. -cont-

After last night, will a space be made on the p4p list for the clearly most talented boxer plying the trade today, Lomachenko ?

Well, if not yet by resume, then certainly by your 'eye test.'
