LOL, Hatton was in a fair amount of trouble at other times in the fight (more then once as well) but seriously having just watch the clip again that certainly wasn't one of them.

Your just totally making it up!

It was bull****. That is a real hometown ref. There is a big difference between breaking up ****ing clinches then breaking up punches being landed.

Hatton was ****ing hurt by those CHECK hooks..lol. They were check hooks b/c juan was pulling back and caught him with three of them. Hatton had the same reaction in the floyd fight. It looked like hattons shoe strings were dangling a little then that mother****er stepped on it and pulled the other foot up. He showed his foot to the referee its not like it was untied before the barrage. You see Hatton stepping on his on ****ing lace and pulling up. If you ever had shoe laces before you would know how easy it is to step on a loose lace and just pull the ****ing foot up.

I wont waiste anymore times with damn cheerleaders like u. He was hurt and the ref gave him 50 seconds to recover. He showed is foot like a coward cause he had no more legs.

I've just watched the clip again and I really don't know WFT you are watching Andrei. At no point was Hatton in any danger of being stopped, he showed his foot because his laces were undone.

You just dont want to see that Hatton was hurt.

Both times that Lazcano hurt Hatton, Hatton legs just froze. He did'nt have the control in them that he would like, and the first thing that a fighter in that situation does if he's smart, is look to hold on for dear life......
....which is exactly what Hatton was doing when the ref imo shamelessly halted the proceeding to give the hometown fighter some borrowed time.

Andreikov, can you not watch the clip again with a bit more of an open mind?

    1) The last good punch Lazcano lands on Hatton was 20 seconds before the ref broke up the action, Hatton had clearly recovered from it.

    2) When the Hatton went back to his own corner I really do not think he wobbled, stumble or whatever you think happened - you can clearly see that Hatton has noticed his lace is undone as soon as he reaches the corner.

    3) Lazcano on the other hand looked truly ****ed when ref moves him towards the other corner, if anyone benefited most from the break it was Lazcano.

    4) ...and most importantly, and this not in the slightest bit subjective - Lazcano blatantly threw two illegal punches (holding the head down and hitting) so it is his own fault that they were broken up at that point. This makes everything you have said so far totally irrelevant, can you not see that?

"Shamelessly" is bit over dramatic, don't you think?

Read Matts post, he's pretty much nailed the situation....

He also made a boxing match look the NCAA wrestling finals. Boxing writers are under some delusion that he's an all out exciting fighter, I respect him as fighter but in my opinion he's had a shitload of help by the referees in Britain.

The ref followed the rule book to the letter.

    Lazcano thows illegal punches
    Ref warns Lazcano
Hatton informs ref of untied boot
Ref instructs corner to fix Hattons boot

The ref did exactly what he had to do. If Hatton was hurt (which I don't think he was at that point) then the illegal punches are even worse, the referee absolutely must step in and warn the offending fighter as the last thing he wants is one fighter winning the fight through a series of punches that contains illegal blows or being forced to end the whole fight there and then with a disqualification.

As for the boot, you can see that Hatton has noticed it is loose as soon as he gets to the corner - as the rules go with tape on gloves, the same applies with laces on boots, if they are undone then the fight must be temporarily halted to fix the situation. It is totally unacceptable to have one fighters ability comprimised due to loose laces or tape, especially if as you believe, he is hurt.
