I'd say this is a fair comment. Ali was idiot a lot of the time but those who condemn Fury often cite him as an inspiration. It's bizarre how many of his ignorant comments have been given a pass over the years if you look at it objectively.

I'd also say Peter Fury's comments re. Orlando Cruz were bang out of order yesterday and he's in a seriously glass house calling people out on being 'real men'.

Some would say that flooding the streets with drugs knowing the damage you're doing to families because he couldn't be bothered to put some legitimate graft in to feed his family isn't the action of a 'real man'. The hypocrisy he showed when condemning Tyson's dealers was astounding.

Others might foolishly claim that those who mentally collapse under the strain of being in the spotlight aren't real men.

Then there are those who think using PEDs shows a level of cowardice not befitting a true 'fighting man'.

I could go on but won't.

But read between the lines a little bit.. Tyson Fury was decepticon good.. and you guys never supported him to the top..

Frankie's comments were more in the Eminem stance of he's gay.. but you're a ***..

Kinda related.. the best Cruiser vs. in my eyes the best current heavy.. is a great fight.. obviously each will say I'll KO you in round 1 but every fighter says that..

Yes it's entropy.. 205+ is a good weight.. 175 is borderline.. Bellew would do well in the heavyweight division..

    But Haye is very good..

Yeah, Tyson Fury's alleged breakdown and alleged reasons for it ("the witch hunt", negative press) definitely goes against what I'd think of as acceptable old-school masculinity.

I don't know much about Orlando Cruz, to be honest.
Peter Fury's comments seem out of order certainly.

Having said all that, I don't necessarily expect champion boxers (including, or especially, legends such as Muhammad Ali) and their trainers to be particularly enlightened individuals.

Regarding your last sentence, neither do I. People are often unintentionally ignorant. What bothers me about the Furys is their hypocritical - and constant - whining about discrimination as if it only applies to them as they go around spouting their mouths off.

I'd apply that to other often discriminated groups too, they don't seem to be that bothered about addressing their biases just everyone else's.

I used to see the Fury's as real men if you will

But all they do is moan and complain and play the victim. Boxing is a grimey business and full of sharks. Its tough for anyone. Only the strong survive

I hate seeing grown men complain and moan about ill treatment as gypsys. That's just a cop out . man up and get the **** on with it for Gods sake!

I get that they feel they don't get a fair crack at the whip. But be a stoic about it. Prove everyone wrong don't play the victim its feeble.

Why don't you try posting in a relevant thread in the forum and then you may get a response.

Conor McGregor is a racist towards Mexicans.. I hope Nate Diaz steps in next and finishes him in number 3..

Peter Fury.. I think is just showing his trainer limitations.. Adam Booth is Obi Wan.. Peter Fury is Darth Vader..

    Frankie is Revan or someone..

Cruz has just fought for a world title, Peter Fury had a single pro fight, got sparked by a journeyman, never fought again.

Who's the 'real man' Pete ??

    Good point.
Peter must be confusing himself with his brother John Fury, the man who Lennox Lewis ducked.
