This is getting rediculous. The whole time HBO is comparing the fight to the Garry Russell jr saying Loma was dominating, it was a dead even fight until the last round. Turn the sound off and watch for CLEAR PUNCHES, there were very few landed on either side until the last round. Its incredible how much people are biased towards the fighter they expect to win. This was an even fight all the way to the last round. The EXACT same thing happened in the Pac Vargas fight. Pac LOST that fight, you knuckleheads! Rewatch it with sound off and count the CLEAN, HARD punches. Vargas landed more of them. People give rounds by default to the fighter they expect to win.
personally i believe the curse of the sauna might have hampered walters. he should demand a rematch straight away , he will knock out lomachenko the hype job no problem next time
Lomachenko broke him down. Walters couldn't and didn't want to box him any longer. would have got battered & KO'd if he didn't quit. Walters will never beat a fighter like Loma ever again. Once you show mental weakness like that you might as well retire. He will bloat up to 160 pounds now and probably never fight again. Retire in jamaica or move up a weight class for a quick small payday fight. Really Walters isn't even a great fighter...totally average when fighting someone top tier. got his soul taken.
he showed mental weakness and not wanting the fight when lomachenko just stood still doing nothing making a fool of him and walters didnt jump on him lomachenko toyed with him like he did russell, walters despite being a world champion and a world class fighter was hopelessly out of he's depth and had no chance and knew he would get beaten to a pulp if he continued in saying that the fact he didn't continue at least for another round or two really makes him look mentally weak maybe he should go back to bullying shot flyweights, he is very good at that
Either you need a new set of eyeglasses or you don't have the first clue as to what you are watching. This was the most one-sided beatdown I've witnessed in a long time. Two elite boxers entered the ring. One proceeded to break the other down until he took all of his will to continue, a more degrading and decisive result than being KTFO.
Lomachenko was doing the better job, but that isn't saying much because Waltes wasn't doing anything, still i had it 6-1 Lomachenko before the stoppage, the 7th round showed who was the better fighter.
You must be on crack if you had the fight even until that last round. Walter was leading into that last round until Loma came up. Do us a favor and get your eyes check because Walter was leading Loma going into that last round.
I've seen an interview with Walters and I never heard him plead once he was in the fight or that it was remotely close,seriously you should try another sport if you couldn't grasp something as straightforward as last nights fight?
Walters was making him miss early and lomas lack of pop was evident but it was a shutout for sure. No question about it
