Very enjoyable fight. I wouldn't want him changing his style too much as decision wins aren't nearly as exciting as KO wins are. Great footwork, speed, punch selection and two handed power.
I hadn't seen that fight since it occurred but I rewatch ed the last couple of rounds and I don't think Salido "put a beating" on Garcia. I don't think he even won the last two rounds. but lomachenko is wonderful. The Canizales call seems about right, but Loma is both a southpaw and busier than Canizales was.
Lomachenko's manager over at the scene said that they may go for a lightweight title too, prospectively being a 3 division champion in under 10 fights. I'm not sure if it's a good idea going up and down in weight all the time. He only weighs 138lbs on fight night. He should have a long run at super featherweight, and then move up to lightweight, and then go for a title at 140 at the very end of his career.
That would be amazing. Lomo has great skills in many areas of boxing. You could say he's more versatile than many great feathers. He's got quick feet, excellent footwork, can throw every punch in the book, excellent accuracy, excellent had speed, great timing, supreme confidence, and for his size, even long arms. He also engages his man.
In terms of skills, Loma is in a different GALAXY compared to JMM. Loma would absolutely DISSECT the kind of fighters that JMM would get into a war with.
Lomachenko was a DC/Marvel character yesterday night against an elite fighter who was bordering on P4P in Walters: This content is protected
Loma schooled the dog **** out of him. Once Loma is a step ahead of you, you're ****ed. My favorite part about watching him, is that he's a rare breed of offensive slick fighters.
He actually was toying with one of the most dangerous punchers at 130. Lol Very impressive skills Loma has.
Lomachenko is the most skilled fighter since a prime Floyd Mayweather, and evenly skilled with Sugar Ray Leonard, who in my opinion has the best resume of wins in the past 35 years! His footwork, defense, speed, punching power ( his KO record is built on mostly top level fighters ) aggression, stamina, chin, counter punching, ring smarts, and confidence in his ability are all on the remarkable level. While his career still has a long way to go, I'll anoint him as the best southpaw in history. Those with feathers ruffled can show me one more southpaw as complete as Lomachenko. I see none!
