Quitting when you're 7 rounds down would make perfect sense if knockouts weren't a thing...

Made me think that too! Look at the end of 7, Loma waves goodbye like he knew Walters was going to quit! Hmmm

Do you people trashing Walters realize what hypocrites you are ??? You trash Walters, it was actually his corner called the fight, for quitting against Loma but you still support Pollo Canelo & others with no cojones. At least Walters got in there & TRIED!! Canelo talks trash then chickens out when called to back up his words
Walters corner did the right thing he was getting crushed by Loma & had no chance of winning why get their man seriously hurt or worse
Oh BTW You mention Antonio Margarito, a FIGHTER!! you love to try & trash, & his serious eye injuries
Did he ever QUIT ??? Hell no he fought with one eye for 12 rounds against Pac He fought with one eye from round 2 against Cotto & was coming on looking like he might make the wilting Cotto QUIT AGAIN!!! Was only then the crooked doc stopped the fight not to save Margy's eye but to save Cotto QUITTING AGAIN!!!!!

I lost respect for Walters, and the Duran comparisons aren't warranted. Duran had already proven himself in many wars including his 1st battle with Leonard himself. He was at a very different point in a much longer career. Walters basically showed up for the paycheck, which was appearant by what he said post fight about being inactive and Loma fighting more frequently. Sounded like a premeditated excuse to me. All credit to Loma, for a brilliant display. But Walters clearly lacks heart.

He didn't even seem to care though. He didn't look like he was even into the fight. That was a pathetic performance. Loma is good but that was very bad walters, timing, balance, not really attacking at all. Pathetic.

I was waiting to see how long you took.:naughty2: Lomachenko is a special talent. At least Geale got knocked down before quitting. I wonder how the axeman comes back from this?

I've just watched the fight right now.

Walters did nothing to win, and I've received more punishment in some sparring sessions :gayfight:.

After watching the post-interview, I think that walters sent a very clear message to arum. "If you fck me and make me draw and dont give me a fckng fight for one whole year, then i'll cash out and lose on purpose"

I agree with the one saying that there's a walters' friend going to the bank with a really big smile on his face $$$

I dont buy that "he was frustrated because he couldnt land" sh+t. To land you need to throw, he didnt even throw. He just simply didnt want to win, that's all.

Btw, awsome performance by lomachenko. But, when I read the comments (before watching the fight) I was thinking "wow, he must have outclassed walters soooo hard", and not. Yes, you could see that lomachenko has better technique, but every, I mean EVERY SINGLE footwork movement that lomachenko did, walters answered with the right footwork movement as a response.

Was outclassed?... mehhhh. was highly outclassed?, absolutely NOT. Has lomachenko better technique? absolutelyYES.

But the difference was by no mean a reason to quit. Not at all. You can see what happened when walters let his hands go in the 5th (6th? dont remember well), lomachenko had to step back and you could see on his face "wow".

Nah, fixed fight, or at least a fight with one of the fighters not willing to win AT ALL. Or at the very least suspicius AS F*CK.

Loma was boring me by fighting smart and crisp until he started to commit more in the last 3 rounds. That quit had me scratching my head.

If that was Mayweather that beat Walters like that you would be calling it a masterclass lol If you think Walters wanted to lose that fight, then you're an idiot
