"A training camp" Once again oversimplifying things to suite your agenda.

Just another boxing purist who's not able to come to terms with the fact top boxers wouldn't be able to waltz in and dominate a completely different sport with ease. Get over yourself.

Boxers who don't cross-train are at a disadvantage in MMA, but there are tactics they could apply that give them a significant shot, and Jones would probably be the best candidate to apply them.

    Depends.

With some TD work and maybe learning to check kicks or atleast train some muay thai and get accommodated with them then yeh sure I think he would do well.

I think alot of boxers with some training could do very well.

But arrogance in your boxing skills will just see you kicked to oblivion or you get taken down.

It's the simple fact certain boxing fans and certain mma fans think because they're both combat sports they must be comparable .

No top fighter from either profession is losing at their own sport to ANYONE that's never even competed competitively in said sport .

No mma fighter could ever just start boxing training and compete with a boxer in boxing. I kind of understand asking the opposite, asking a boxer to compete with a top mma fighter in mma because you can land a punch and hurt your opponent with any shot in your arsenal

His speed would be neutralized within the first 30 seconds. After which he would endure another 30 seconds worth of *****-slapping before total annihilation. Not a chance in hell for poor one-dimensional(boxing) Roy. The outcome would be similar to the Toney debacle. If he chose to go into full coward mode, by that I mean running more than usual, it would take 15 to 20 seconds longer to turn him into a Pensacola pretzel.

    You hav
It is the other way around elite mma fighters are better athletes than Boxers And they have state supported training all the way through college. MMA has a bigger better financed amateur system with much better physical conditioning. Where are you from?

for a while he would be better off in a ring than on the street or a bar. You cannot double up on the jab against an mma fighter you cannot plant your weight on your front foot for very long against an MMA fighter. You cannot even think about trying to clinch or getting caught on the ropes or against a wall
You totally disrespect or do not understand the ability of collegiate wrestlers
