Crawford vs Loma is now the best fight in boxing

Kid is awesome and when he grows up will surely understand professional commitment. I forgive his misguided sympathy for Walters. Nice kid.

 

I'm surprised by that I thought Crawford was bigger

 

He is much bigger naturally.
That's like me saying Celestino Caballero and Sergey Kovalev haven't got any major size differences besides frame. Frame, lean muscle mass, water weight etc. all constitute 'size', too.
It's not true either because Crawford weighs 157 on fight night vs Postol and Loma weighs 136. Crawford is also being a serial weight cutter to make 140 when he should be at 147.

In a recent interview, Loma said he'd need about a year to be ready for a 135 bout against Pac. I don't think we'll see him fighting at 140 for a while.

Because only a non-boxing fan, which they are, would say something so blatantly false. I listened to 10 minutes of Thaboxingvoice and heard multiple people justify Walters quit job by saying he wasn't paid enough so its understandable and others speculating he was paid to quit. This is the illogical that spills from their brains.

 

Caballero and Kovalev are separated by 50 pounds, Loma and Crawford not so much..LOL.

 

Loma fought as high as 132 which is lightweight in the amatuers, so he's not that small as some make him out to be. He didn't look too far off in size when he fought Verdejo as an amatuer who is a pretty big lightweight himself in the pro ranks, and is a little bigger than Crawford imo. And I thought he looked bigger than Walters, but that's just my opinion. I doubt Crawford stays around 140 much longer so I think that fight will never happen. Loma-Mikey is a more realistic fight to talk about. This was a good amatuer fight though.

Vastly looks like a smallish man and Verdejo looks like a regular size man who packs some muscle.

Crawford is a guy who outweighs Lomachenko by 21lbs on fight night ant has a fight night weight and natural size that's the same as any 147lber out there.
For that reason, combined with the fact that Lomachenko is going to be a very small Lightweight let alone LWW - hell, he weighs 136lbs on fight night - same as he does for a 126b bout, the size difference is just too immense.

Just watch at 17:04 (Crawford was to fight Postol a week later so was cutting all of his weight, too)

Crawford will just need to go in there to take him out because Crawford can fight and hit hard despite his boxing skill doesn't match Loma's. I see Pacquiao as Loma's absolute limit in terms of size (and always envision Loma will only fight a regular title holder as big as Pac at the very end of his career). When I say Loma is TBE, I mean at the FW divisions, not even necessarily LW (yet to see him as a LW).

 

You make good points, but I don't think they're that much off.(Crawford/Loma)

 

Probably one of the same gentlemen who was screaming for Mayweather to fight GGG.
