Pac, Cotto, Mosley, DE LA Hoya were all great wins. Jones and Hopkins were way older, and Roy especially was way past his expiration date, Hopkins still had something left when they fought. Yes Mosley and Oscar weren't exactly prime either but they were still fighting at an exceptionally high level compared to Roy Jones at that time.
Joe was also well past his best when he fought those two. His win against a prime Kessler (when Joe was a little past his best) was probably his best.
Kessler is no where close to ATG status... he was a solid fighter.. but way overrated by his fans. People just liked him because he was white and had cool tattoos. Joe was a great fighter, but even Joe's mom would say Floyd was the better overall.
Oh of course! There's so many white people I would detest if they weren't white. The list is endless.
Well let's see.... Calzaghe traveled to their home turf and embarrassed Roy Jones and humiliated Bernard Hopkins. Floyd was a roider whose best wins were Castillo II and the drained corpse of Canelo Alvarez. Tough choice.
Why do people forget the magic of the Lacy fight? Anyway..Mayweather has a history of rule bending, IV's, needles for his hands, the illegal use if elbows. Joe was always a clean figher.
This poll is a joke obviously. In terms of resume/ accomplishment and atg ranking floyd is clearly above joe. But I do love some joe, in h2h match up if they are similar size I give Calzaghe a good chance to unseat pbf.
Humiliated is a strong word for a guy who got put on his ass and went life and death with an old man.
I think I have listed a slightly more appropriate comparison to debate... Joe Calzaghe: 10-0 (2 KO) vs. past, present, or future world titlists Amir Khan: 10-3 (2 KO) vs. past, present, or future world titlists
