I am a bit out of touch with boxing in general right now,so to speak, due to lack of time.Sure,I still watch or try to watch all big fights,but............time............ . I am even more out of touch with whats going on in Russia. To be honest I am quite suprised how highly Plechko is regarded by many fight fans in Russia.Sure,he has stopped 9 no-hopers and a more or less decent journeyman like Orlov in 10 months, but he still hasnt faced an opponent who offers stiff resistance and actually fights back instead of switching into survival mode as soon as he enters the ring with Plechko. Anyway! The hype is there and quite a few people in Russia seem to think that Plechko will be the next big thing. Words are cheap but what has made me think is that Zimin is Plechko's coach.I didnt know this and I am still a little bit surprised.Zimin is very capable and competent trainer, one of the best in the game IMO.He must really see something in Plechko, something special. Here is a promo vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEPl1ZJfnBg Here a short docu and some words from his coach:www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ujee7YvOOPw
Plechko is really good, sure he's beaten no one yet.. but it's the way he's beaten them. surely Ryabinskiy or Sauerland or American promoter will sign him soon.
