I signed in today and theres an anoying message at the top of my page that is telling me to post something (actualy Ross its a nice touch to the page) so I figured whats better than a simple breakdown of the most exciteing potential fights in each weight class? some of these fights are also the best fights and some are just the two most exciteing fighters in any given weight class.

So here we go, of course feel free to comment or ask any question youd like about the breakdown:

Heavyweight:Wladimir Klitschko VS. Samuel Peter 2
The Reason: Well this is one of those fights where it would actualy be the two best fighters at there weight fighting each other. they had a really fun and exciteing first fight, both seem to have gotten better, enough that I belive they warrant a rematch....it would also make a Ring Mag Champ at the heavy division wich would be very nice. at that time I could finaly answer my friends question of "whos the heavyweight champ?" with something other than a rant about how stupid boxings governing bodies have gotten.

The outcome:Klitschko nuthuggers REJOICE! yes although I have voiced my displeasure of the big Ukrainian on a few other posts I have to say I simply have not seen enough of an improvement in Samuel Peter to warrant me picking him over the man who is clearly the best above 200 pounds. Klitschko by a close but clear UD.

    Cruserweight:O'Neil Bell VS.Enzo MAccarinelli
The Reason:put simply? two guys who dont have great defence, and like to punch...someones getting knocked out!

The Outcome:I'd have to go with Mac by TKO in 6 after a GREAT back and forth fight.

Lightheavyweight: Joe Calzaghe VS. Antonio Tarver.
The Reason: Get me straight on this fight. I think its a bad fight for Joe Calzaghe. Antonio Tarver would be the underdog, against a fighter who is unbeaten as a professional. Both soutpaws and so Jabs become a big factor. I think this is the only fight left that truely makes sence for Joe Calzaghe. if he were to win this fight...whos left to even think about?

The Outcome:I've been called Brave, stupid, idiolistic, and even brilliant, and on a few rare occations I've warranted all of them. I belive that Tarvers Jab, Acward style, and punching power would throw Joe off far enough....to win this fight for him in a close UD.

SuperMiddleweight: Lucian Bute VS. Edison Miranda.
The Reason: fans who know these two fighters very likely salavate at the thought of this fight becomeing a reality. Miranda a take no prisoners offensive Lion against Bute, a fighter looking alot like a young Joe Calzaghe.I Believe the winner of this fight would be a sure fire bet for future Suppermiddleweight kingpin.

The Outcome: More Exciteing, more compedative version of Lacy-Calzaghe with Bute Winning a UD in a great fight to watch.

    Middleweight:Kelly Pavlik VS. Arthur Abraham.
The Reason: when two fighters combined record reads 57-0 (49 KO's) do I really have to get into it?

The Outcome:Although Abraham has shown alot of talent and power I think the bigger, longer, and harder punching Kelly Pavlik would win this one in a thriller. both fighters would probably hit the deck early, Pavlik would start to take over through the middle rounds and down the streach Arthur would answer any questions about his heart as he would take a beating but stick arround for the final bell. Pavlik Lop-sided UD.

JR.Middleweight:(I can hear the snickers already) Vernon Forrest VS. James Kirkland.
The Reason:According to the ring mag they are the best boxer (forrest) and the best puncher(kirkland) at 154 LBS. Can anyone else remember those days a few years ago when people were asking "is Vernon Forrest the best P4P fighter in the world"? I can..and I seem to remember a power punching maniac named Mayorga shutting everyone up and basicly sending Forrest into the abyss.James Kirkland may be one of the best prospects in boxing today..so whats missing from his resume? how about a guy who used to be in the top 10 P4P? yep its all about the old lion young/ young lion thing...again.

The Outcome:although Kirkland would jump out to an early lead(possibly with a knockdown or two to his credit) Vernon Forrest IS the best pure boxer at 154 pounds, with alot of big fight experience. he'd settle down and start to work his lenth into play. Kirklands lunging wouldnt get him anything but hard counterpunches after about the 4th and Forrest would box his way to a UD.

    Welterweight:Miguel Cotto VS. Antonio Margarito.
The Reason:yep,I had to say it. when you have two all action guys who throw like McClellan and Jackson your bound to have WOW!!!!

The Outcome:The biggest differance in this fight is simple. they both throw hard, neither will box(trust me...) and the differance is chin. Tony's is granite,Miguel's is a little shaky(not glass, not soft, dont start that crap either) the first 2 rounds are gonna be feeling out rounds...after that Cotto will be busyer and get off to a slight edge. but by the 6th Tony's gonna get going, he'll shake the youngster a few times before getting him in REAL SERIOUS trouble by the 9th. Cotto will gut it out untill the 11th round and the Ref will save him from a final 4-5 minutes of the pounding he'll be takeing by then.

    Jr.Welterweight:Ricky Hatton VS. Ricardo Torres.
The Reason: Well...actualy if you dont know....your an idiot.

The Outcome:For all the talk about Hatton being a shitty fighter hes sure got alot of good solid guys on his resume. Tszyu, Castillo,Lazcano,Urango,Tackie,Phillips.... and I have no idea how Ricardo Torres wasnt given a rematch with Miguel Cotto. Torres hits hard, throws fast, and manages to get inside even when his opponent is running away(wich Hatton will not do). If I am correct the first 3 rounds will be ALL action. probably 2 knockdowns a piece, both guys looking to throw em hard to the body. As the rounds wear on Torres will start to slow down from the body attack of Hatton. he might have another flash knockdown in him but Hatton would stop him in the 11th round....maybe then.....MAYBE then...people would give them BOTH some Credit.

    Lightweight:Michael Katsidis VS Juan Diaz.
The Reason:In a word...."wow" Diaz all action fighter with little pop and who showed alot of holes in his last outing. Katsidis all action fighter who showed the ability to at least be compedative with the best in the division.

The Outcome:as much as I love Diaz....this will be an uphill battle from the get-go. Katsidis will keep up the pace set by Diaz, but his punches will have MUCH more pop. I think Katsidis will stop Diaz in 9 rounds that will be all to him...but all Exciteing and competative.

    Jr.Lightweight:Manny Pacquiao VS. Jorge Barrios.
The Reason:Styles make fights! and if thats true, Barrios and Pacquiao are taylor made for a fight of the year. Both men are pure punchers with great chins and tendencys for cutting.

The Outcome:heres another fight people will say I'm crazy about. this fight will be be back and forth with both men getting cut bad, I see BArrios just wanting it more and takeing a UD in one of the bloodyest, most brutal battles ever whitnessed.

    Featherweights:Roberto Gurrero VS. Steven Luevano.
The Reason:two strong, talented fighters in a weight class waiting for a new king. one a puncher, one a boxer...styles make fights!

The outcome:Gurrero would win the first 3-4 rounds, possibly score a knockdown, and get steve cut. Luevano would start to pick it up, but he just woundt have enough to take enough rounds away. Gurrero by UD.

Jr.Featherweight:Isreal Vazquez VS. Rafael Marquez 4
    The Reason:Duh!
The Outcome:......Who cares as long as there in the ring again:deal

The Rest I simply dont know enough about to talk about much...so what do you all think? Hope this is recieved well enough.

Great fights Hitman, the thread made me do mine. :)

HW: Haye-Povetkin. CW champ with sick power vs. very busy Olympic gold medallist for the no1 challenger status. Very good fight.

CW: Cunningham-Alexeev. Current no1 champ vs. very promising, sick punching prospect. I have no idea who to pick.

LHW: Dawson-Johnson II would be nice and fair. Hopkins-Jones: old men's fight no1., age combined 80+, and still a very interesting fight for the hardcore fans. There's still time to make this!

SMW: Calzaghe-Pavlik: MW champ vs. SMW champ, somebody's 0... Andrade vs. Bika: fans' ultimate slugfest.

MW: Pavlik-Abraham: the only fight in MW that matters. Iron chins and KO still guaranteed.

LMW: Forrest-Mayorga III: bring it on, why the hell not?

WW: Cotto-Margarito: if Floyd is 'retired', let champ no1 fight champ no2.

LWW: Hatton-Malignaggi: charisma, popularity, different styles, no1 vs. no2, should be interesting.

LW: Casamayor-Campbell II: Old men's no2, would be great for the legitimate undisputed status.

SFW: PacMan-JMM III: unfinished business, guaranteed slugfest, what more do you want? Valero vs. Gamboa: well, as long as it lasts, it's another FOTY match-up...

FW: John vs. Linares: division World Champion vs. best alphabet champ.

SBW: Vazquez-Arce: this should happen, biggest fight below 126. Who said Mexicans can't fill a soccer stadium anymore?

BW: Marquez-Gonzalez: slugfest for the ages.

SFW: Mijares-Montiel: simply the only big fight left in the division - and it's a superfight!

FW: Naito-K. Kameda: division no1 vs. the lot better brother of very dirty and unsuccessful challenger, Japan's DLH-Mayweather.

LFW/SW: Calderon-Solis: the best match-up for the smallest men, winner gets p4p status.

I agree with some of your matchups, but then again there are some I disagree with along with some of the outcomes..

Jr. FW: Vazquez vs Marquez IV.. Well it is the only fight we all want to see yet again
FW: Linares vs John.. Linares is a young talent on the rise quick and taking on the top dog John who sits at the top with only a loss and a win against JMM.. Linares clearly becomes the best FW
SFW: Pacquiao vs Marquez III.. Clearly there is some unfinished business between the two, but Pacquiao wins another close fight, ending their controversial trilogy
LW:Nate Campbell vs Joan Guzman.. With all the trash talking these two have been giving each other, the hype for this fight is steadily building. Too close of a fight for me to call right now.
Jr. WW: Hatton vs Malignaggi.. Don't really care for this division, but both sit at #1 & #2
WW: Miguel Cotto vs Floyd Mayweather.. Do I really need to explain? It's only the most anticipated fight goin' on for some time now..
Jr. MW: DLH vs Mayorga.. Yep.
MW: Abraham vs Pavlik.. No one stands out in the division like these two, two great boxers with the skills and power to be the best
SMW: Mikkel Kessler vs Edison Miranda.. Calzaghe's toughest challenge against a guy capable of knocking people out with one punch.. Would be one hell of an exciting fight..
LHW: Joe Calzaghe vs Chad Dawson.. I don't know, but I feel this is one of the very few guys who could hand Calzaghe his first loss.

Didn't have much time to do this.. Got work in a few so I kinda' rushed this..
