this aint exciting its a predictable mismatch that they want you to pay for a fool and his money are easily parted
I'm looking forward to it, all the smack talk should be a laugh and hopefully turns out a decent card. Won't pay ppv for it though, its a mismatch 3 rounds Max and the result of haye wins by ko means as much to his standing in the division as anything we could take from his previous 2 fights which is nothing what so ever. If he loses then that's different, he won't be taken seriously again.
Boxing is divided into weight classes though. Wlad 243 vs Haye 215. Totally fine. Haye probable 225 vs Bellew probable 207. Dangerous spectacle. I struggle to see why one is ok and other isn't.
I don't think it's a particularly bad fight. Haye is very dangerous for average fighters and may in fact be capable of KOing rated fighters but I don't rate him as a current heavyweight contender, and Bellew is a decent puncher and a current cruiserweight title-holder. Seems reasonable. Thing is, it doesn't interest me much, nor does it offend. It's nowhere near as bad as Haye-Harrison, since at that time Haye was a legitimate contender to Wladimir and held the WBA title, and Harrison was a joke. I wont be watching it anyway. Nevermind paying. Oddly enough, I suspect many of the people here who are protesting it so strongly will actually pay to watch it on PPV.
This depends on how you view the sport. The build up will be 10x more entertaining than the match itself. So is that boxing? I'll watch the fight and laugh when Haye puts together about 20 shots in the whole 5 round fight and then knock's out a blown up light heavy. It will get the casuals involved, but it is crap like this that allows fights like GGG v Canelo and FMJ v Pac to take sooooooo long to put together. Why take the time to organise a real fight when the mug fans will gobble up semi WWE **** like this. BTW - no issue with the fighters cashing in, it's a short career. But don't try and sell this as anything more than a pantomime. + BTW - Eddie Hearn calling Haye a control freak!!!!!! Pot kettle black.
yeah he better stay out the club as I hear bellew as some great haye aint winning no dance off against the m j of Liverpool
Yes but the reality is Eddie Hearn holds the power. It's obviously eating Haye up that he's 36 years old and still fighting when he could have been retired from fighting at 30 and with kept the money he'd made with wiser investments. It's no good getting angry at the Eddie Hearns of the world because of your own financial errors. I've read that Haye's more or less blown his own 20 million fortune but I'm not sure if that's true. There certainly seems to be some sort of problem with his finances though, there's no smoke without fire.
Having said all that, someone had to say something about Eddie Hearn. His smugness needs containing now and then, to put it mildly.
