Most Overrated Fighters Currently

Porter didn't beat Thurman. I had money riding on Porter, and accepted well before the judges scorecards were read out that i'd lost it. Saying that, I think Brook and Spence beat him.

Postol is a good fighter that was just outclassed by an elite one. The way he dealt with Matthysse and Aydin was impressive for sure.

Lara has one of the best resumes in boxing of any active fighter, it's not surprising that he's had some close fights. I thought he beat Canelo pretty clear, and again it's not like he has a legion of fans overrating him.

Rigo isn't overrated. He's an elite fighter that has proved himself against a top 3 p4per. If anything he is underrated.

Degale has no fans, don't see anyone overrating him. Good resume but the guy is an *******.

 

Most overrated fighters - Cotto is always on my list. I'd also add in Stevenson, Canelo, Garcia and Golovkin. GGG is very good but some posters think he's unbeatable and whilst I don't think any of the current crop at 160 trouble him there are plenty fighters in the history of the division that I think might or would.

I guess Thurman is too. Brook and Khan have been taken off my list since their stock plummeted post them taking easily predictable KO losses to bigger men.

 

what amazes me is that the same people that claim Mayweather is the greatest thing since sliced bread say Lara is a boring fighter. Their styles are almost identical. Only real difference is Floyd's back up protected his ass

Amir Khan is overrated now... before he was a good fighter but now he is just using his name to get money fights so he is overrated for his name. I like him but not a top contender anymore...

Everybody is overrated. Golden Age of Boxing is over.

 

Lara and Rigo are pretty boring, as is Molina, buy Postol was lost vs Bud and Bud refused to even attempt to make it exciting.
DeGale gets boring when he goes into prevent defense, but in the process, his opponents always seem to stage a comeback, so we can forgive him b/c at least while he's resting/pacing, his opponent is playing catchup and landing incredible shots.

I hope I don't trigger anyone with this but, Inoue.

 

I dont see him as some unbeatable momster.

Either Cuadras or Gonzalez from their fight would likely win big over Inoue.

 

I think we have to swap it around and say who are the real fighters that aren't over rated, very few we would agree with.

My current top 3 fighters in all of boxing are going to be over rated hype job to most on here, then the craziness I have to read about their "proven" fighters is sickening
