Deontay Wilder: Joshua only fought D level opposition

Molina is B class in my view and better than Breazeale or Whyte. You have to factor in his first proper camp was vs Wilder, the rest of his career was part time. Stopping even a shot Adamek was no easy task. I think he could be dangerous given the poor mandible on Joshua.

 

Well we will find out Sat night I suppose.

I'm not sure how "proper" Molina's camp was, I'm pretty sure it would have been a short one as the fight was (like all so far) pretty short notice...

Least Molina is getting a real training camp for this one.

No. The normal thing is top 20s with a few top 10s.

Duhaupas and Szpilka were both reasonable top 20 fighters.

 

This is the same Dee on Tay who has ducked every single other elite fighter in the division since becoming champion?

The same Dee on Tay who was not even good enough to last a day as Wlads sparring partner?

He actually signed to fight one, but when he found an excuse to duck out of it, he ran back to America before you can say "single parent household on food stamps"

 

Wilder is heading towards 49-0 ... which means the closer he gets the more pressure for him to participate in a fight against someone at the top. So maybe within 3-4 years he will be forced to. This is a worst case scenario, involving lots of creative ducking while somehow retaining WBC in 2017/18.

The nightmare scenario is that he retires due to injuries ... which would lead to Haye like hypothetical GOAT status.

I can almost accept all his opposition to date, some of which has been ok, if he fights Povetkin (or AJ/Ortiz) in 2017.

 

Wilder is delusional and hypocritical beyond belief.

 

Wilder refused to fight Klitschko more than once. Wilder has only fought winos from the alley, Wilder if afraid, like all bullies he runs his mouth, then when it comes time for him to sign a contract he runs like hell. Wilder knows that Joshua has two mandatories...................when Joshua is free to fight, Wilder will be running like the chicken he really is...........Five voluntary title defenses in a row!

 

I wouldn't mind Wilder if he didn't keep making outrageous statements like this. Is he trying to make everyone hate him?

 

He doesn't have the right to say that when the name of Wladimir Klitschko alone is better than the whole of Wilder's rusume combined.

 

To be fair he did make that statement before the Wlad fight. It'd be interesting to hear his thoughts now. Somehow I don't think they'd be any different but I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

 

Ah, you're right, the comment was made before the Wlad fight, so I was perhaps a tad harsh on him.
