This is getting a lot of talk. Apparently Feb 25th most likely date. Peter Fury and Hughie Fury seem super confident. Who would win this. At first I thought Deontay will spark him out easy, but then I doubted Tyson Fury and look what happened...never doubt the Furys. Hughie can cause Wilder some problems with his movement.
Hard to see Fury winning this one. Doesn't have any real pop to keep Wilder off him. Would get tagged eventually.
So.............if true Wilder will be fighting his 5th voluntary fight in a row, nobody else could get by with that without getting stripped.................Povetkin was cleared of any illegal drugs, yet the WBC did not like VADA clearing him, so they will continue to protect Wilder.............
I have trouble believing Peter Fury is that delusional. Hughie really doesn't seem that good to me. The only thing that makes him promising is his youth. If he were like 3-5 years older and still at this level I would dismiss him entirely. The only thing Hughie can do is range shorter guys, which any tall fighter can do. And Hughie isn't big enough to succeed with that against other tall fighters like Wilder. Tyson Fury was ten times the boxer Hughie is. And yet I always hear it's the opposite. I don't know why.
If Hughie Fury was not "ready" for Dyllian Fckn Whyte only 6 months ago, how is he now ready for Wilder? I dont buy the interest in this fight from the Fury side. I do not doubt that Wilder is interested.
I have yet to see anything from Hughie that implies he has anywhere near the toolset to handle a big heavy handed Wilder. KO within a few rounds for Wilder.
Wilder may have paper thin resume for anyone in over 30 fights but hes still been in fights where he got some rnds in and found guys who somewhat fought back which is not easy when you have k.o power . Hughie has alot of experience overall and maybe even a better technical boxer but he hasnt fought the right guys to prepare for a 6'7 fast awkward k.o puncher and hasnt been active enough its that simple ,he needs to be on point since he lacks power . This isnt going to be like his sparring sessions with Tyson , Wilder will be trying to take his head off and i believe he knocks out Hughie by rnd 7 .
