I'm glad, I laugh at it! Assuming you are telling the truth, this is an older photo. An updated photo might not be as funny or as easy on the eyes.

I do not choose to post a hey look at me photo. I only find yours funny for the reasons I stated. Watch that left hand!

Now, all you need to do is be honest for a change, and admit what Langford was saying was false. But you will never do it!

    ALSO, and PAY attention:

Actually, I have all my teeth and hair. - McVey.

LAIR! You do not have " all of your hair " based on that photo.

Busted again. LOL. Wait, didn't you also claim an IQ of 137 too.

    Pure comedy here.

What's your problem? Upset others liked the thread? Annoyed no one else shares your phobic hatred of Jack Johnson?
You homed in on the thread like a fly on dog sh*t LOL
Anything with Johnson's name in it draws you like radar, you sad, racist buffoon.Get yourself a life!

    Caught in a lie again.
Now I've got you as always. When badly beaten you have to go ad hominem. I despise the clan and any hate group.

You unwittingly support them and then try to cover for yourself by claiming dates.

And you're caught in a lie again...

Didn't you claim an IQ of 37? Surely an exaggeration!LOL
I've still got the receipts from my NY trip ,stayed at the Broadway Millennium Hotel, opposite Jimmy's Bar, if you're that interested pm me.

Would you like to know what clothes I wore on my holiday, the colour of my boxers?
On the subject of my avatar tell me ,do you have many homo-erotic fantasies about elderly men?LOL

Maybe you are taking the quote too literal.
Perhaps in all his first hand experiences with Johnson, he never saw him bruised or beat up?
Perhaps he is mainly referring to the times he fought Johnson?

There are two guys at my gym who both have been boxing for 6 years who are at the same level.
One of them has a lot of bruises swelling and scars on his face, and the other guy looks like he doesnt even box.
If you think about it, such was the case with Langford and Johnson.

I would argue that this quote should be appreciated because at its essence it's basically a strong testament to Johnsons ability to avoid and withstand damage.

Curious to see that in this context.

This post made me look up Jimmy Glenn. There is an article on him in the time from June 2016. In it it says:

"The two spent countless hours dancing around the ring, Mr. Ali throwing blow after stinging blow into Mr. Glenn’s padded hands."

Amazing. An example of training technique Ali used regularly, but it is hardly ever mentioned, and never shown on video that I'm aware of. I know it has nothing to do with this but I had to bring it up.

The underlined is exactly why Mendoza has such a big problem with it! Johnson retired with his face unmarked after 34 years of ring combat fighting into his 50's with 78 recorded fights!
Mendoza's hero ,Jim Jeffries retired at 29 ,apart from a single comeback fight his career was 9 years he had 24 fights had his nose broken 3 times had a cauliflower left ear and scar tissue above and below both eyes.

I'd like to see them too. KuRuPT mention there were such photos.

On the surviving film, Ketchel does not land much, but when he did he hit hard enough to cut and mark up Johnson.

We all read Johnson testimonial after the fight that Ketchel can hit, as he said his jaw was never so sore. You have to wonder if a small man like that who didn't land much hurt him, what would a heavyweight with skills do?

I have read that Ketchel was under 160 pounds for this fight ( box rec weight may be suspect ) , and he wore cowboy boots with heels in the photo to hype the fight to make him look taller.

Typical histrionic, wildly inaccurate, yellow journalism of 1909! This is the kind of crap that people regurgitate when the subject of the "old days" is discussed. I've posted again and again that the newspapers of those days had to print stories to sell newspapers to people who could not see the fights live. There were numerous papers on the street every day competing for sales so they had to be as over the top as possible to get someone to throw a nickel towards the paper boy.

Every fight, not matter how boring it was in fact, had to be presented as Zeus vs Thor. GTFOH with this stuff.

Maybe Langford was talking only about the Jim Jeffries match?? That's what they started up with. I didn't think differently until I came to your post. -???????-

According to Ketchel he weighed 178lbs for the Johnson fight, source ?A quote in Moyle's book on Langford, but ignore it because it doesn't tie in with your hate agenda.
I post a quote from Langford about Johnson which everyone else seemed to appreciate, and you turn it into a hate crusade against Johnson ,trying to put as negative spin on his fight with Ketchel as your limited literary and intellectual skills will allow. Have you any conception of how pathetically sad your posts on this subject are?
G*d Almighty you should be put to sleep!
