His physique is incredible for his height. Looks like robotic bodybuilder to me. He will lose when he faces someone with good movement and boxing skills. Klitschko, Haye and Fury can do it IMO. And don't forget Usyk!
He's a little stiff. Thin waist and neck. Smaller than normal head for a man his size. Not likely to take a good punch. But Joshua's offense skills and power are world class.
They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Doesn't look particularly robotic for his size to me. Obviously not as agile as some others though. He obviously has good height, reach, strength and power but I also think he has good speed, reflexes and timing for a guy his size. He has a very good chance against any current HW.
He looks nothing like a body builder. He'd be laughed off the stage at a body building show, he doesn't have anywhere near enough mass to compare with a genuine body builder. He is in reality no bigger than Wlad, same height and similar weight, it's just he's much leaner and has bigger arms and is physically more aesthetic. He is a little stiff but people said the same about Wlad and he dominated for a decade. He has flaws but he is improving with each fight. I wouldn't favour him over the Fury that beat Wlad and even Wlad himself maybe a far tougher fight than he expects. But time will tell if he is the heir apparent like Wlad or Vitali were or just another Michael Grant.
I was surprised how light on his feet he was. I've been very critical of his movement or lack or it but he's showing signs of improving. While he was up against a very over matched opponent what little I did see from him is giving me hope he is moving in the right direction and will become a more complete fighter given time. I liked his continued use of the jab, something he has neglected in the past, I think it's a very much improved punch. He controlled range very well, didn't just walk in throwing like he did in early fights, he was patient and chose to box and wait for an opening instead of forcing the fight. This more prudent approach is going to make him harder to get to and beat.
Yeah me too,he's impressed me when he relaxes and relies on his boxing like in the Dillian Whyte fight,he looked gassed at one point and then he came out of his stool and just boxed and in round seven the knock out came, against Charles Martin he looked mega relaxed and those flash knock downs were class, last night Molina said he had major problems with AJs left uppercut,he said that's one hell of a punch.
He is coming along nicely and at a good pace. If he gets pass that right hand of Klitschko ( Wlad's plan is to George Foreman him) Then he is poised for a mega PPV with Wilder. That's if Wilder gets past who he needs to get past.
He may be a little stiff but thats what happens when you're 6'6 230 pounds. I think he can be taught on movement and footwork and improve it because he's very athletic. The natural offensive ability (jab, power, reach) Joshua has cannot be taught.
What I've seen of him, yes he is a bit stiff and he seems to have little to no waist moment and that may come into play in his fight against Wlad
We still dont know how good he is imo. Last night answered no questions at all so all the doubts still remain.
