Hoping Yeller gets the Jr fight made. It'll sell huge across N America, especially in Texas and the West Coast.

He can earn like 50-60 mil for that fight and then take a KO loss to GGG, earning another 50-60 mil, and never have to lift a finger again.

He's still a farmboy at heart, and can live quite comfortably in S Texas or NM or AZ or S Cali.....at a beautiful hacienda 50 miles from anywhere and bring his entire family to pick lemons for him for life.

 

Probably when GGG is 37 or 38, just enough for him to slow down as canelo gets stronger

Who is siding with anyone? Ive stated what I believe to be true. Canelo does not need Golovkin. Canelo is also 26 with a good enough resume and legacy already. What has Golovkin really accomplished? What is actually wrong about my reasoning fella?

I didnt say Canelo shouldnt fight Golovkin. I said he doesnt need to. As in at this point and time. By the time September of next year rolls around Demetrius Andrade might be a pretty good looking opponent for a fight too. What other savory options does Golovkin have after Canelo? Move up to fight Degale? Thats a dangerous fight. Might make a bit of coin but also is dangerous.

Canelo should fight Golovkin. And Golovkin should accept that hes not in charge of that fight and take a nice 10 million dollar offer. I know you dont like A-side nonsense. But Canelo gladly took his B-side nonsense with the Cotto fight. Plenty of guys take B-side nonsense to get fights done when its clear that they are just that. Why not Golovkin?
