To me, it's the best fight of my life and I've been into this sport since the 80's. Ginger boy has a massive ****ing following, and brings in huge crowds fighting anyone. imagine him fighting ggg.

Ggg has a massive following in his own right, hasn't had the exposure to PPV but I don't think Canelo has the true history of PPV to hold over ggg. This fight should be held in the largest venue in the world, idk some soccer stadium.

100k+ easy, truthfully they, TOGETHER would sell out ANY stadium and will bring in the mil+ PPV, only because they are fighting each other.

Yes, bjs is More important than Canelo and Jacob's isn't really of any relevance. Jacob's is only being called on his bluff, it could happen but im not sure he really wants it.

Canelo and ggg both are fighting at the minimum of 1 more time before they are even truly going to negotiate. Ggg might fight 2+ more times before the Canelo fight really materializes. Jacob's might accept his mandatory, possibly, ggg will also try for the bjs which is the most important fight.

Once GGG retrieves that last belt he can then look towards canelo. By then it's HUGE because it's already being discussed. 60/40 is fair.

That's the only split that if either rejectside, we'll know who doesn't want that crazy fight

Have the fight at the LA coliseum! Holds over 100K, close to Canelo and G's home town if I'm not mistaken. Canelo trains in Big Bear which is about 80 miles or so away and G lives in LA.

The sum is much greater than its parts here which also applied to Mayweather and Pac. Last month we were all being told 10m was a great offer and that Golovkin should take that by many of the same people now claiming this is a great deal.

I agree that with you in the sense that personally I don't care what either fighter gets but I understand why K2 are acting the way they are.

I like GGG and if he truly wants this fight, which is also his biggest paycheck, he should take this fight for the exposure. I felt 10 was too low but 15 million is hard to say no to when it's your best check and opposition offering it up for you.

Just an estimate based off 1 mil buys at 69 dollars on HBO PPV and in Dallas, mid Sept with 50K in attendance.

Read someone on a FB page broke it down and came to that figure.
Surely K2 and GBP both know this fight will do a mil buys at 69 and will fill Cowboys stadium, and both are aware that Dallas owner is interested in hosting the fight.

 

So let me get this straight, if you don't accept an offer almost immediately (even though the potential fight is 9 months away) then it's a duck? Wow, some people just have zero common sense

 

Its the refusing the offers without a counter offer that makes Ggg and K2 look even worse. Especially when you consider Golovkin's pathetic resume.

 

Don't forget that approximately half gets taken right off the top to account for the cable & HBO fees. 1 million buys = $69 million gross. Times 0.5 = $34.5

15 mil is 43% of that.

Of course, the pool is going to be bigger thanks to live gate and global rights, but $15 million is a fair offer considering that also protects him from downside risk in case it does less than expected numbers. I'm typically not a huge fan of flat offers, but the number is big enough here that it should be strongly considered.
